Is This Going To Be Safe?

I'm building a vv/vw box mod that is going to run dual IMR 18650 in parallel. The plan is to use a TP4056 1 Amp chip as a built in USB charger. My thought is that since the batteries are in parallel, I should be able to connect the chip to the + and - of the pack and both batteries should charge evenly.

Can an anyone let me know if I'm okay on this or should I up my life insurance before I plug it in?

This Q is better asked in the modding forum. If I am not mistaken it is/was not recommended to charge batteries in parallel. Some will say we do it all the time with our LTs. Yes, but what is the designed safety circuitry provided to do it safely, for both the batteries and the PC?

sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. You should used a charger designed for 2 cell parallel packs. This will ensure they both end at the same voltage, that way they discharge at the same rate.
