Is this normal for a clearomizer? How much do YOU use?

I started out using prefilled cartos about a year ago and recently learned that I could buy my own liquid and clean/refill those cartos. My next step was to try some new "hardware", and I bought an ego-C starter kit. I hated dealing with that system but I loved the batts so I got myself a couple of smok Redux clearomizers. (They are beeeyootiful on my ego-C batts!)... anyway, these clearomizers work AWESOMELY! I love the TH and everything about them, except that I am blowing through liquid at an alarming rate!

I received my clearomizers and two 30 ml juices 10 days ago and I have used 1/2 of each of those -- meaning I have used 30 ml of liquid in 10 days. When I was using cartos it would take two months to use that much.

Is this normal??? How much liquid do you use in 10 days?

Chances are the clearos are producing more vapor than the cartos. If so you have to remember that juice is the vapor so more vapor equals more juice used to make it. There is no system that can create more vapor with less juice (assuming the same PG/VG ratio). Of course a better taste can also lead to more frequent vaping and longer sessions when you do vape. This would also translate into more juice.

That said, some people here on ECF have reported using 5ml or more per day while others use much less. I don't really keep track but I don't seem to go through too much, but I am also using 24mg nic levels so I need to vape less often.

Also, how many wicks are in your clearo's? I find if there is more than 1 wick I go through much more eliquid! Also, top coil clearo's seem to use more than bottom coil. I've never used one, but I guess a dual coil would really go fast! If you are worried about how much you are taking in, get some 0 nic juice for when you have times that you want to vape for the enjoyment of vaping, vs. needing nicotine! That helps me, too! I vape more of the 0 nic since I don't have to worry about a nic overdose.

My juice consumption jumped when I moved to clearos too. I went from 2ml/day to 4+ml/day pretty quickly. For me it was a combination of more flavor and vapor - I liked the cleaner taste and the bigger plumes. Using more liquid and enjoying it led me to start DIY to keep the costs down, as my wife switched and jumped up to nearly 4ml/day as well.

My only question is how you went through so many clearos that quickly? I get a couple weeks out of them, sometimes more with an occasional cleaning and a dry burn or two. They should last for more than a day or two unless you use particularly gunky juice.

Oh did I make it sound like I was going thru that many clearo's too? I'm not at all -- actually I'm very impressed with these. I am still on the first one. Haven't even had to change the head yet. It has two wicks on it. I have used the second one with a different flavor, but I'm pretty much stuck on this one flavor I love right now (extreme ice mixed with candy cane) so I haven't had to clean this one out or anything. It's still working great!

Normal would be somewhere between .3 ml and 27 ml per day.... Unless you vape mort that that, in which cast THAT is what is normal.

'Course this is coming from a guy that blows through a 1300 mah battery in 6 to 8 hours.

Sorry man, gotcha beat - work day = 650mah twist and 2000mah in vamo - 7ml of juice
days off = 1.5 times that

good thing I DIY my liquid and have close to 150 ml steeping at any given time

No one should be surprised when their joose usage goes up when they get more flav and vapor from a new device!

C'on... It's just a vaping variation of the law of conservation/matter. Waddaya expect when da 'output' exceeds da ol' 'system'.

Just be grateful that ya'll are getting' more flav/vapor per ml/volt!!!
