i didn't know that the connector was coated with silver coating.. i always thought its stainless steel?

Just remove the rest of plating.

Brass has good conductivity and you may get harder hit now.

Indeed,thuis is why we switch to brass springs everywhere possible :)

Replacement pins are $20;begs the question though:what could wear one out like that?
Battery not tight enough?

Now If we could get connector pins made from silver, the hit would probably knock yer socks off. :vapor:

It is higher than even copper.


And a +++++++++++++++ 20 on that. Silver is best of all - just expensive.

Order a small silver plating kit online and do it yourself. Plate it in Sterling though as .999 would be too soft and come off easily.
