So I just went to a local vape shop and had them rebuild my dropper atty for me. They suggested a 3 wrap dual coil build with 28 gauge, which ohm out to .3 I have a sony 30 amp battery, and it kicks and produces awesome vapor. But the atomizer gets kinda hot, after 15 solid hits I took the battery out and it was warm to the touch but was not hot by any means. This seemed to be their prefered build and it seems stable, but I just don't feel safe about this. I understand everything going into it including the amount of power it's drawing and it's within the limits of the battery.... I kinda wanna go back and have them do 4 or 5 wraps of 30 gauge dual coil instead which would sit at like .9 ohms. Any thoughts or suggestions? I really don't wanna run into battery problems or anything worse. For long term use is the goal. I understand .3 ohm builds can be safe but for how long before something goes wrong? Info: magneto mod , nimbus atomizer, sony 1600mah 30 amp battery.

Yeah, I can see it cutting the battery life short. I have built a handful of sub-ohms and I would put a 1.5ohm micro coil up against any of them and come out on top.
Did they even ask you any questions before building it? Like if you prefer a hot vape over cooler? If you were looking to fog up a room or just get good flavor?
It seems to me like the person building it just slapped their preferred coil in your atty and sent you on your way. With a battery sale to boot.

Oh ya we had a big discussion I've been having problems with all my own builds including microcoils, they built me a 1.1 ohm dual microcoil build with cotton but I still didn't like it, so I asked what they build the most and this was their build they prefer. I like the way they did it but I think I would rather it sit around .9-1.1 then .3
