Safer yes. It's missing all the chemicals. You will on average find only 4 ingredients in the juice. PG/VG nicotine and flavoring. I researched this for 2 weeks before I bought my first kit. Read the forum ask questions and get as much info as you can before you buy anything. I don't know where you live but you might even find a store close to you that sells them. Good Luck and Keep on vaping!!!!

my dad just let me use his stuff and i would like to know if this is a safer alternative to cigarettes

Even if something turns up to be harmful, there are almost 4,000 less ingredients in vaping. Plus, nothing is being burned as it was in an analog. So yes, hands down this is safer.

If you have the time, look up the chemicals that are found in analog cigarettes and make the decision for yourself. 5000 chemicals or nicotine and vg/pg? No brainer IMHO. Nicotine is addictive but is much less addictive without all of the additives. In addition, nothing is burning. It is water vapor (like an inhaler) not smoke.

After your first 5 posts, check out some of the information on the health section of this form. Also feel free to use outside sources. Many people believe that Big Tobacco and the Pharmaceutical Industries are poo pooing the health benefits of vaping as it is cutting into their slice of the American Pie.

Good Luck with your Research and Welcome to the ECF!

It is much safer than smoking. Smoking kills for sure. No one can say for sure if vaping is 100% safe as there are chemicals etc in it. But in my opinion I feel much better not using ventolin any more and my chest is clear. It will not be known for sure for some time whether it is 100% safe or not. But I think if you are to wait until you know the alternative is you continue to smoke and that would definately be worse than vaping. Just not enough conclusive evidence about vaping yet.

I can only speak for my own experience, which is, I feel so much better. I no longer have copd, I can breathe, I no longer wheeze all the time, I no longer stink, my teeth are cleaner and my gums are healthier and my bones will now heal. I have had two broken ankles inside of a year and have been told by my docs that I have not been healing like others because of smoking and I really believe them, I take months and months longer to heal than people I know who have broken bones as well. For instance, I broke my wrist about two years ago an I d it took me six months longer to heal than my sister in law who broke the same bone several months before I broke mine. I am sure that as time goes on I will discover more wonderful things that are better, but so far my pluses are pretty substantial.

It's somewhat difficult to be worse than analogs don't ya think?

Granted some of this is new territory and I wonder about some of the flavorings (like don't try the jalapeño at 20% because it is actually painful). For the most part, there are quite a few ecig users who aren't having any issues with this technology. That and the eliquid base ingredients are well known.
