I can only speak for my own experience, which is, I feel so much better. I no longer have copd, I can breathe, I no longer wheeze all the time, I no longer stink, my teeth are cleaner and my gums are healthier and my bones will now heal. I have had two broken ankles inside of a year and have been told by my docs that I have not been healing like others because of smoking and I really believe them, I take months and months longer to heal than people I know who have broken bones as well. For instance, I broke my wrist about two years ago an I d it took me six months longer to heal than my sister in law who broke the same bone several months before I broke mine. I am sure that as time goes on I will discover more wonderful things that are better, but so far my pluses are pretty substantial.
You still have COPD and the lung damage is irreversible but glad you are filling better.

Some people's COPD has actually been reversed when they started vaping. A few people on the ECF board have shared this. The lung's will heal themselves over time, typically about 10 years(obviously not the same for everyone we are all different) they will be back into shape as if one has never smoked after they quit smoking. The body is an amazing thing! Why underestimate it?

In my personal opinion vaping is without a doubt safer then cigarettes. I feel so much better, breathe easier. Its just been wonderful.

I would know because i have copd and some of the bronchitis inflammation is reversible, but the lung damage of emphysema is not.

my dad just let me use his stuff and i would like to know if this is a safer alternative to cigarettes

I got a full physical about three months after I started vaping. I'd smoked for nearly 30 years and had 7 years of previous physicals for reference. Part of the physical is lung function, and I'd always tested surprisingly well for a 30 year smoker. My worst test showed a lung age of 28 years old, my best 23 years old. My last physical, after I started vaping, showed a lung age of "less than 18 years old". There was a definite improvement, but the machine couldn't tell me how much - it was outside the range. My triglyceride levels were also normal after years of being too high, and my cholesterol had come back into the normal range after years of showing high risk of heart attack.

My doctor is very happy that I've quit smoking, and we didn't have our annual argument about him starting me on Lipitor.
