Is this the REAL DEAL? ViVi Nova mini!

Just purchased a few items from a new shop and am skeptical about its authenticity. I wonder if I got the real thing or if this is a fake, boasting the vivi nova stamp on it. I can imagine it would be hard to tell, but any input is appreciated.

Nope. Doesn't say Vision on it - on the sides it read: "C E" "a check mark in a crest" "A recycle sign" "SGS"

Seem to recall seeing a post where the genuine ones with have "Vision" on the front of the box, and like a plume of smoke on the back.

If it doesn't say Vision on the side of the box, it is not a Vision.

Could just be the way the pic makes it look but the groove pattern on the bottom and top doesn't look the same. That combined with it not saying Vision I'd say it's a copy but if it vapes good don't worry about it.

It's a knockoff, but it does have the air vent on the 510 connector, so that's a good sign. The major issue is that most likely the heads are not be interchangeable with Vision VVNs, so keep that in mind when looking for head replacements.

Notice the two red dashes on the "V," it's the trademark of Vision.

I have vision and non-vision ones and they all work great.

I agree with Nomoreash, if it vapes good then its a good one.

The head size issue was what I was nervous about - but I have learned how to recoil and rewick the nova style heads - so I hope I'll be able to do it with these. I can not believe the nerve of these people to lie directly to my face - he even raved that this was a legitimate Vision Nova. After finding that it isn't I called them and told him that they were not the real deal and he said, and I quote "Well maybe you should do some research before you buy from me, if you don't trust my products" What a JERK!!

I have one new in box right here. Box says Vision Vivi Nova on the Side of box, and CE RoHS SGS V on the other side of the box. Smoke plumb on back of box. Also on my front of box, the V in Vivi has a couple bright red lines inside the V.

Not cool. Not at all.

However, a) I've heard that rebuilt heads on these are even better than stock ones, and b) in my experience, vision heads will fit the off-brand vivis, unless it specifically states in the description that they won't (DV's brand of vivi nova for example uses a proprietary head).

Rebuilt atomizer is waaaayyyyy better than those that come with the VVN. I rebuild mine. Once you figure it out, you can rebuild one in about 60 to 90 seconds and the rebuild cost is about 5 cents each.

Thank you for the info. And I enjoy rebuilding them too!! I have told friends to send me their old vvn atomizers, I will rebuild them and send them back. Love doing them. Thanks again and sorry to read the folks at the store were less than honest :-(

If you're able to rebuild the heads, then the three that comes with the kit should last you some time. I've been using the same two heads in rotation that I rebuild with kanthal and cotton for the past 6 months and it's still vaping strong.

As for the shady B&M, well, it's their loss. There are plenty of reputable venders registered on ECF to choose from.

The KO has a better looking gasket on the atty threaded end. Maybe it won't leak LOL. I'd love the VN but the 3 I have, of which 2 are for sure genuine, leak. I'm gonna give them another try cause they are a very nice concept.

I think right off the bat I'm going to rebuild the heads just because I know the re-built coils almost always work better than the stock ones. The workmanship on these coils isn't very good.

I have 2 knockoffs and 1 real Vision, and the two knocks offs, once rebuilt, seem to perform just as well for me.

But even though the threads might be the same size, the heads are slightly taller and bases are slightly shorter. So they aren't interchangeable.
