Im on Champix which i started a week ago which is good but of course i am missing the whole hand thing and i enjoyed smoking. I have tried eciggerettes in the past and quit for 30 days using them but they were working out more expensive than normal ciggerettes so i cut them out and went back to smoking normal cigerettes.

Of course with me being on Champix using juice with nictoine in it would be pointless but what i am asking is do you think its worth vaping unless your actually using nicotine?

The "hand" thing is what I lacked in other forms of quitting, this for me just works, with that being said vaping has been a inexpensive option for me... that is, until it turned into a hobby......:D You should be able to get a reasonably priced kit and juice that is not as costly (both financially & health wise) as the funkarettes.

I don't notice any difference in the throat hit, but that being said some will say that the throat hit is from the nicotine, some will say it comes from the pg. I tend to believe it's from the pg, I've not noticed any decreased th since I've cut down from 24 mg to 6mg over the past year. My goal is to be at -0- mg by the end of the year or sooner (but I have no desire to give up vaping!)

Good luck in your search to find what works for you! hth

I think TH comes from both pg and nic :) I have found that for me it seems to be the habit and hand to mouth thing that I am addicted to more than the nic. so I think it's worth a try to see if 0 nic would help you. also, if you do decide to keep vaping, you need to get some backups. I would be so nervous if I only had 1 or 2 batteries, charger and attys :)

24 mg has much more throat hit compared to 6mg. 0 mg has no throat hit whatsoever. there is a chance that one can get accustomed to lesser throat hit but...try them both side by side and its a world of a difference. i crave throat hit but at the same time i want to go down in nic. currently i am vaping 6mg and its a bit of a struggle but ill keep plugging along hoping its going to be fine some weeks from now. for those who wont care about throat hit, 0 mg might be just the ticket.

TH does not come from PG. PG just lets more of the throat hit through vs VG. TH comes from the nicotine strength and the warmth of the vapor.

I would say yes it is worth it ... I started vaping with zero nic and liked it just fine, throat hit included. I don't think throat hit will be an issue for you because you are not presently vaping nic juice, and it does make a difference.

I think it would be a different story if you were someone used to vaping 18mg nic juice, then suddenly went down to zero, in which case zero would feel like nothing.

When I did go from zero nic to 12mg nic, I actually found the throat hit harsh, and did not like it all..... so if you are in it just for the hand to mouth action, I would say that you would be plenty satisfied with zero nicotine.

there is a such thing as fake throat hit. its called Throat Hit Plus and you add drops to your liquid. i heard its more of a gaggy th than a true th. *woops* just looked for a link and i guess The Vapor Pro no longer sells it.

and then there is a nicotine substitute that NuVapor offers. its made of a capsicum blend. ive never tried it but i bet its a bit like a spicy pepper.

actually, NuVapor sells added th as well as the capsicum. worth a try IMO. decent prices. $8.74 for 30mL.

Nu-Juice Liquid Refill

None of them work, just a waste of money.

Works for me! I've only ever vaped 0mg, but I like some throat hit too sometimes. I mix 2drops capsicum with 2drops menthol concentrate in 10ml of 50/50 PG/VG and use that to mix flavors I want some throat hit with. Could be made with more or less to taste. Be careful though, potent stuff!

No offense ,but I would just vape. I have heard the stories about the Chantix and I would rather just smoke cigarettes than take a risk on a psycho drug .

If vaping 0 mg keeps you from relapsing into smoking... why not? I can't think of a better reason to use it.

Do keep in mind that Champix/Chantix isn't the 100% god send pharma makes it out to be either. There is still a relatively high relapse rate associated with it. If you have a problem feeling like you want to relapse once the Champix course is complete, don't forget that nicotine liquids are still an option. That's the beauty of e-cigs - the flexibility. You have permission to play! Champix, OTOH, pretty sure that comes with black box warnings now...

And what you call "throat hit" is not true, good throat hit. I and many others have tried all of these so-called TH addititives and have found they do NOT provide true, good throat hit. They do provide throat irritation and burning. But that is not real throat hit, plain and simple.
