I don't know the science behind it, but for me nicotine goes well with alcohol... So I vape higher nic when I drink.
If you talk him into vaping, maybe have him try some tobacco flavors for when he is drinking, and get this in 6mg for use on an ego. If he takes to regular vaping (as many have said:) suggest he go with zero nic when vaping and not drinking. I'd be clear if it was my friend: a lot is unknown about what vaping does to our bodies in he long term, but all indications are its WAY better than the effects of cigarettes.

This is purely anecdotal evidence. I'm a fitness guy. I'm a pretty big guy. I played football in high school and then in college. I go to the gym seven days a week (twice a day M-F). During the times I smoked cigs, I had to change the way I worked out to accommodate the impact they had on my cardiovascular performance. I struggled when running and lost my breath and endurance during weigh training. I quit for over a year completely and got back into great shape. I relapsed and smoked a pack of cigs. Instead of buying a second pack, I bought a bunch of vaping stuff. I've been vaping HARD for over a month. It hasn't impacted my performance at all. I'm actually shocked. I still do my three mile runs with no problem. My heart rate returns to normal quickly. I'm not gasping for air. I notice no difference during weight training.

Again, this is all anecdotal, but vaping is not even close to cigarettes. I'm sure there are negative impacts on the body and lungs, but it's nothing like cigs.

In my experience a little smoking leads to more smoking. How many smokers have you known who originally just smoked when they drank?

So true. I feel like vaping is much easier to get completely addicted to for a non-user. It tastes awesome and doesn't make you feel like ..... If you start vaping and drinking, you might as well just accept you will be nicotine addicted.

On the plus side, nicotine is a great stimulant. I've lost five pounds since I started vaping. Cigarettes had the same effect, but they caused such a large decrease in cardio performance that it was impossie to maintain the same level of intensity.
