Is your Mini a DSE901 or a RN4075?

OK, thank you, that is exactly what I was looking for. I just placed a batch order for a bunch of spare parts and included a 4075 atomizer in the mix. I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like. If what you say is even a little true for me as well (seems everyone gets different experences), I'll become a convert. As far as the battery life, I also got more batteries, two more (cheap USB) chargers, and a USB manual passthrough. So I should be good to go from that perspective for a while. Right now, I can vape just barely enough to suit me if I constantly keep at switching out batteries before they totally drain and keep topping off my carts. I realized I need more to be comfortable. Right now I have that feeling I would get when I started to get low on analogs.
And, I know it's off topic of the thread, but from all I've read, at this point I have no doubt that before too long, I'm going to be getting me a Screwdriver. Maybe I'll use my "birthday money".
But for now I'm quite happy with the low-profile 901. And hopefully soon with the 4075 as well! :)

I recently got 4 DSE901 attys from electronic ash that are quite different from those pictured. They have a high, thin, pointed bridge....sticking out of a washer that covers eveything else! They are not original 901. (no markings) Does this indicate another factory doing knock-offs?

So far, they've been pretty decent. 2 have worked very well (great throat/vapor) 1 is decidedly wimpy (working on it :(), and the other is still untried.

----a side rant-----
I've only been at this a few months, but my experience so far leads me to believe that ALL attys are flakey! (901's, 510's) It seems to be pure luck to get a good one, and another stroke to get one that lasts. Too bad. This stuff shouldn't be rocket science.

Id have to say u are right - all attys are flakey!

But I have had far better luck with 4075s than 901s. I have gotten so many 901 attys that just werent any good right out of the box.

I had a 4075 last from March 09 to November 09 with daily use. I soaked it in vodka whenever it started lacking in vapor or the taste got bad.

Which brings up another point - u can clean attys but its a gamble. Id say when cleaning these you have:

RN4075 - 90% of it working when you are done. Even if it barely worked before. I have ressurected ones that I thought were dead by cleaning them.

DSE901 - 40-50% chance of it working when you are done. Its hit and miss.

The 901's just dont hold up well to the soaking.

I guess this explains why some people are so adamantly against soaking/cleaning and some are so FOR it. It depends on the atty.
