I think an in-line meter would be more accurate though as I've noted before the voltage changes from firings. I will fire it once and get X, fire it again and get X+.3 and then fire it again and get X-.3 (just arbitrary numbers) so the contact of the switch with the post may be effecting things. If anyone else has the tools and the time do me the favor and report back if its something to do with my spring delete mod or if it has to do with the switch's contact itself.

Not sure if the following info will be of help, but I have a stock iSeason and also get variations from test-to-test. However, they didn’t appear to be significant. To be sure, I took an initial reading, then repeated it 20 times. The median variation from the initial reading across the 20 tests was 0.025 (max of 0.06). The median test-to-test variation (again across the 20 tests) was 0.0 (max of 0.08). So there is some variance, but very little.

I've actually seen the iSeason now selling for around 50$ shipped - a little annoyed by this because I paid around 80$ but I did get a great serial number so meh. Thank you for the measuring hazozita I was experiencing a much greater fluctuation with my multimeter but that could just be do to a number of factors so I think the in-line tester is the better bet.

Unfortunately due to some hate mail and bad comments the place that listed the coupon codes that don't expire including one that was 10% off mov has been deleted... If you know the code/know where to find it it makes the iSeason cost 50$ with shipping.

Not tested but sounds right: TUC (coupon code) for 10% off.

That's where I got mine (MOV). I used the 10% off coupon code of APRILSAVE which (I assume) is still valid since we're still in April. Came to $50.99 with shipping.

Update: Just got an email from MOV and they have a new code for 15% off (APRIL15). That brings the iSeason price down to $42.49 plus shipping. The APRIL15 code is good until April 29 (Monday).

I guess Sigelei is now making an Adam clone.

That seems to be what they call all their mechanical mods lol. They have a whole bunch of them. I have the #8 and #13A and they are pretty nice. I also have a #20 and #19 on the way eventually and will probably pick up the Adam clone and the Empire/K100 clone. I also have an iSeason coming from a co-op.

Okay so been hanging around the GG area of ECF quite a bit. I noticed one person complaining about voltage drop with some other mod but Imeo was more than happy to help. He talked about the spring in the switch causing voltage drop and how an all brass spring is the best way to go. I ordered a GG Button Spring a while back from COV but never got around to seeing if it fits. It does not. However I stretched it and got it to fit (its a bit of a tough push but I really don't care). I instantly noticed an improvement! Bit of a 'Seat of the Pants' test but yeah... wow instantly improved throat hit.

Added benefit here: I have had tons of problems with the button unscrewing itself constantly. I would sit and spin it and spin it until it went back on (its a pain in the bum to take the battery out, the bottom out, keep the bolt and washers from going anywhere then screwing it back in) however now that the spring sits with much more pressure it doesn't spin at all sits there nice and snug.

^ You can also just use a tiny piece of plumbers thread tape. I put a ~1/8" strip on the threads, screwed it back together and it's never come undone since. Or, you can take a screwdriver (one you don't care about), place it across the threads and strike it with a hammer. It will leave a groove in the threads that will lock it up solid when you screw it back together -- that's only for people who don't mind damaging the screw, though, but you'll never see it when it's back together. Construction workers do that to lock nuts onto bolts.

Got my springs in from Amazon today - big difference! I went from a voltage drop of 0.49 with the stock spring to 0.17 with the new spring. Drops measured with an inline meter.

The springs are too small in diameter right out of the box. But, a little adjustment with some needle nose pliers, and it works fine. So far I just widened the diameter of the first few coils so that it would thread into the post. I’m going to spend a bit more time and widen out more of the spring later so that it’s more solid.

Not a bad upgrade for $6.14 for a pack of 10 springs! Unfortunately, as is the case with Amazon, the price has gone up from when I ordered them (which was Sat) to about $11 for a ten pack. They also have them as a single spring, but those are nearly $6.

Link to amazon is: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FNSJV4/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

PM me your mailing address, and I'll pop one in the mail to you. Same for anyone else who would like one. I'm going to keep a few for spares (plus I think it would work on the MKB, which I'm considering getting) but happy to send out the ones I won't be using.

UPDATE: All my spares have been spoken for, and will be in the mail either today (May 2) or tomorrow. If you got a PM from me, you should have it in hand in a few days. I'm wrapping it and putting it into a regular envelope -- the thickness seems to be OK to pass the USPS regs for a regular first-class envelope.

That's luxury-mod level. Nice.

That's about the same drop I get with my brass-to-brass mod with an AGA-T2 and a 1.7ohm coil (what happened to be on there when I tested; it was actually 0.19V). So the spring is definitely not losing much voltage.

True embodiment of the Vaper Spirit and Community, if there was a commendation to receive I would recommend you sir!

You’re quite welcome! When you put in the spring, widen the first couple of coils so it threads into the post, and also widen the top coil so it makes better contact with the battery. It doesn’t take much fiddling (tip: keep a FIRM grip on the spring when widening it or it will live up to its name and spring across the room and land in the most inaccessible point it can find).

I thought about using a brass washer at the top but it does not seem to be necessary.

I’m only using this in 18650 mode, and the spring makes very good contact when it is inserted about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way down the post. Haven’t tried it with any other batts since I nearly always use 18650s in my mechanicals.

(By the way, and totally off-topic, got a Legacy in the mail on Saturday. My oh my, what a lovely mechanical!)

Got my spring today hooray! Took a bit of working but got it to work. I measure a 0.62 voltage drop at 0.6-0.7 ohms on a Phoenix Clone running SS Mesh and an iGo-L running silica. I receive the same drop with my spring delete bolt mod but it does have the very added benefit of being able to screw the whole thing together without any seams. I'm going to try and expand the top bit a little more see if I can'get extend it to almost fully encompass the entire bottom of the 18650 battery. Thank you again Hazozita my iSeason now looks beautiful screwed together without the vanity rings. I have a feeling my voltage drop is because of how low my resistance I don't think I am going to get much lower! <3 Haz LOVE YOU!

How low resistance is the coil?

Haz sent me a spring as well! Couldn't get it to thread at first so I just stretched it a little..later I decided to go ahead and widen it and got it to sort of thread, and its working great. Hits like a truck now, voltage drop on my aga-t+ went from 1 volt to about .48. Pretty sure at this point most of the drop is in the atty so I'm happy. Thanks Haz!
