I saw the chance and grabbed a Grand off the Classifieds.

Have to say I was wondering what to expect from the device as I ripped open the Priority Mail box this morning. I have been using a VMod for the last couple of months and say what you will it does it's job very well but somehow I have managed to mess it up so it is having a holiday in Cali being put back together.

That left me bottom feeder less. Not an acceptable state of affairs. Have been looking more and more at this forum so leaped. Let me say how happy I am to have a bottom feeder again. They really are just so consistently good and OK have to say this Grand is great. Bit rough around the edges a point I will get to in a minute but loving it.

Lol I was only missing a bottom feeder for 2 days but when you have become used to using one it is not good.

Coming from the VMod I was concerned about leaking from the top. Practice tells me now not a concern. There is a satisfying feeling about the block of aluminum in my hand. It has a similar feel to holding my ProVari. You know...it just feels right and that covers the build quality as well. Just well built.

Altogether very happy with my buy. As said this was a Classified buy so has a few dings in the black paint that I am struggling to deal with so once the VMod is back will be attending to that.

So the question is how is the best way to get my Grand either repainted or even better have all the paint stripped off leaving me with just a ali base ?

I suspect that a Mini and at least another Grand will be joining this one in the future. Have been looking at the pictures of the VV Grand and think that will play a part going forward.

Anyway, ok. I am starting to get it lol

My Grand is nicked and dinged but still vapes great. I take it out and about with me every day. If I drop it (again) and it gains more "character", I don't worry about it.

VV Grands will be available soon, if you're wanting a pristine Reo to have and to hold. Every Reo enthusiast needs a beater model. :pervy:

AS long as it doesn't look like this (functional) then you're fine!!

The above was run over by a mack truck after falling off of a car- there was still a question as to whether it would work or not, but the poor owner, XDoctor apparently didn't have the heart to give it a try. -sigh-...

Thank you all for your kind welcomes.

Don't suppose the is a picture of a stripped one somewhere. All for the beater look but alternatives are good to.

Hmm another very good reason not to own a truck. As a foreigner have spent the last 6 years living here confused by that particular American idiosyncracity. Since I started vaping I have discovered it seems they are after my PV's too!

Thanking you muchly.

What is is about bottom feeders that endears themselves to you in a way that tube mods don't. I love my ProVari's but there is just something about squeezing the bottle and seeing a tendril of vape.

On day 2 and I am starting to become besotted lol

They are so enjoyable! Alice says Hassle Free! I agree!

I've said it at least 100 times and will continue to do so. The absolute best anodized color, for taking any kind of "abuse," is silver. The anodizing is the same color as the bare aluminum so dings, gouges, scratches don't show up very well on casual inspection. Feisty Alice

Retrospect is 20/20 kinda sorta wish I had just bought a new one in straight ali but needed a bottom feeder asap. This one was just across the state so worked.

Will have the VMod back and getting a Bacchus in June. Once I have spares may move this one on and look at a vv version. Then again probably wont lol
