Thanks nerak....I've got newbie written all over me now. lol

With people like Nerak any the many other extremely helpful REOnauts, your never more than a post or two away from knowing all that these seasoned veterans know.

It's hard to describe, but in summary, it seems like just simply having a REO gets any and everyone a place in a family where where everyone is helpful and supportive and would gladly do whatever they could to help you. They even help dix like me.

I have been rolling up in here since like October and I have never been made to feel like a noob, never been flamed, insulted or condescended. Never seen it done to anyone else either. I've seen none of the bragging and bashing that goes on outside of REOville. I feel very welcome. Yep, aside from me, most of these people are genuine class acts.

Grab yourself seat on the floor here with me and enjoy the party :)

Thanks super x....leaning toward the REO Grand 18650...I like the size factor compared to the vv. Now to save some money...difficult to do with my medical stuff.

Yall have made me feel so welcome. Can't thank you and the REO community enough.

EDIT: the Reo Grand Black wrinkle with mahogany door is my holy grail...color wise. Dang that's a good looking combo!

Bleev, you absolutely cannot go wrong with a grand. There's a good reason their the most popular REO model. Quite simply, it's because they straight kick ....

Battery life- check
juice capacity- check
Durability- check
Wash that bad boy with a pressure washer next to your dirtbike- check
Throw it in a belt pack while riding your dirtbike- check
Not looking like a tool putting a big old glossy tube up to your mouth- check
Large juice well for most RBAs- check (even if you ain't into em yet, I see them in your future :) )
Outstanding customer service- check
Off the freakin chain vape- check

I've had all of the current metal REO sizes and they are bad ..., my favorite just happens to be my Grandos :)

^^^+1. Super_X has about summed it up. You can't go wrong with a REO Grand. Pop the battery and bottle out, take the atty off, and run it under the hot water faucet (you don't HAVE to wash it with a pressure hose.)

And you don't sound like a newbie....you just sound (so far) like a wanna-be REO owner who hasn't received his REO yet. Once you get one, you REALLY see all the things about it to appreciate.

And I'll add.....Super-X is too modest. He has never seemed like a newbie either.....he seems like a long-lost relative who just showed up during a family picnic and stayed around. He has now built a house on the block and is giving grilling lessons to the neighorhood. We all swim in his pool......

The VV Grand will cut off before the batteries drop to low (it uses 18350's).
I get most of the day out of a set, I've never ran down 2 sets in a day.
Thats running 4-4.2 volts @ 2 ohm,,

Just had to speak up about this. Its been my experience that the VVG WILL drain batteries until they simply cannot deliver your set voltage. Meaning, if you set your VVG to 4.2v, it will keep firing until your batteries are drained to 2.1v. Please, someone correct me if I am wrong, but I could have sworn it was pointed out earlier in this forum that the VVG has no low-voltage cutoff.

I have been caught off guard in the past and had my batteries drain to well below 3.1v. Luckily, they have re-charged without issue. I now check my batteries daily and swap them out when they reach about 3.4v. I am getting about 4~5ml of juice through each charge, running usually at around 4.5v with a 1.7Ω coil.

I checked mine a week or so ago because I mixed up my charged with the drained batteries (a Jack moment).
I'm pretty sure they were 3.1-3.2, I coulda checked them about 1/2 a hour ago but I just put em on the charger.
I run about 4.2 volts on a 2 ohm ERA, I'll be sure to check them next time and let you know.
I'm sure others have checked it out, be interesting to see where others cuts off ?

Hi all the VV Reos will use the same controller as the Buzz Pro so the specs will be the same , we did a slight redesign of the format to fit in Robs design but the function and specs will be the same . here is a basic run down.

Specs:

15 watts maximum power output
Wheel adjustable voltage dial
Improved battery life 2 x 's avg. , we have a new controller that is MUCH more efficeint. avg. 12 hrs per charge
batteries (16340 type)
3-3 to 5.5 volt adjustment
Reverse battery protection
Over current protection
Over temp. protection

THere is NO cutoff circuit built into the controller , it goes until the batts die (click to see the post)

You're now over halfway there. The three phases of REO introduction:

1. REOnot : unaware of REO, do not want REO
2. REOnaught : aware of REO, want REO, but do not have REO
3. REOnaut : REO acquired!

As the owner of a Grand and a Mini 2.0, I can honestly say that if you're into bottom-fed mech mods, this is your Nirvana. Your quest for the ultimate mod ends here.
