Can't be certain how "sealed" they are but, since they are auto's they can't be completely sealed or they wouldn't work. Smokeless image touts their new auto batteries as "sealed" (with the quotes around the word) but points out that they are not completely sealed, just more so and, therefore, less prone to getting juice in them.

The price is not out of bounds. The equiv. kit from SI is about $46 but you can probably get at least 16% off using coupon codes...try VOLTDAD, VOLTMOM, or VoltSave.

They have a kit with two different PCC options but it's currently out of stock (bummer) Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette
If you go with SI and want the PCC, you will have to go with the auto batteries as the manual batteries have an issue they are trying to work out and do not work with the PCC's.

Good point on shipping to Canada - good catch bk78. There are other sites in the US that sell the SI volt stuff...maybe there are some Canadian sites that do as well.
The kit from CanVape actually looks pretty good and not a bad price...it's 808-D1 like the SI (I'd go for the 280mAh batts) but I can't vouch for it having no experience with that particular product. https://www.canvape.com/product-p/808sup.htm

Is it weird that I first thought this thread was to do with the International Standards Organization?

The Volt's supposed to be right up there, far as cig-alikes go. Pretty sure some of the kits include a PCC too.

To address your legality question, I would say that it's not illegal, per se, but Customs can be all sorts of jerks when it comes to not releasing your package in a timely manner.

And I thought it was concerning ISOpropyl alcohol! Lol

Mike, we have to brush up on our internet slang.

Apparently it is not legal to import ecigs into Canada. (Based on a few Canadian sites.) But Im' sure a fellow Canadian would know more than I :)

E-cigs containing nicotine, or pre-filled cartos cannot be imported. Hardware is OK. The delay at customs is more related to volume of parcels received than on category of parcel. Anywhere from 4 days to 4 weeks is normal for delivery.
