Issue with Aegis Legen switching TC modes by itself

Hey guys, I have something weird going on... maybe yall can help me figure out what's up.

So, a vape friend at work gave me a mesh pro tank for my Aegis since he bought it and it doesn't fit his mod base. It fits mine fine. It came with a freemax ss316L coil rated for TC. When I try to put it in TC-SS mode it keeps switching to TC-Ti mode by itself. I have updated firmware when I got it... so what is the deal here? Is it not an SS coil?

Not impossible I guess. Legend shouldn’t do that though. Standard boilerplate solution for coil cartridges is try another cartridge and see what happens

Yep, did that. Bought a new set of the same coils and it's still doing it intermittently. I can take a number of drags perfectly fine... then suddenly I notice it switches. I have no idea. No way I am accidentally pushing the button three times then pressing the +/- buttons to switch modes without knowing it. Lol. Guess it doesn't like these coils! But is all my local shop had. Gonna put the falcon king back on for now.

I have a feeling you can probably lock your profile on the legend? IDK. I am not a font of knowledge about that mod (or tank, really) but I'm pretty sure you can lock in your settings if you want.

However, it sounds like you have a perfectly reasonable solution.

The first mesh coil I have ever owned is a MTL coil and it's in my Zenith tank. Performed well for about a month? (Keep in mind I have WAY too many setups) but it is currently getting a bit inconstant on me, too many drags and it tastes burnt, then it recovers. I have a feeling no mesh coil is going to have a lifespan that the regular zenith coils do. It's making it really hard to decide which coils to get my favorite are the 1.6 coils, but I really liked the mesh experience. IDK it kind of makes sense to me why mesh should last less long, I sort of assume it is MUCH thinner wire, hence less robust.

I solved the issue. The o rings were weird and not allowing coil to get a full seat. I pulled them off, cleaned surfaces and replaced. Now are working fine. I still like the falcon king better, imo there is no contest between the two set ups in terms of flavor and cloud production. However, i did put the freemax drip tip onto my falcon tank. It fits better than the falcon one... go figure!
