Ok, so when the Phoenix first came out, I was crazy-impressed. Excellent flavor and vapor production, and they just went on and on. I could get weeks out of each one without any drop off in flavor or vapor.

Now these new "reborn" ones come out, I'm thinking 'well it was already pretty much perfect, i dunno how it could be better!' Well you know how they say don't mess with a good thing. These new ones are just not what I came to expect when I started buying the older ones. The flavor is pretty good most of the time, but the drop off happens just so much faster than before, and it becomes just plain 'bad' quicker than the old ones even started to taste a little different!

I just really don't understand what happened. I wonder what needed to be changed, because the old ones were just plain awesome, and the new ones are just not there. I'll grant that even the new ones are still better than most cartos I've tried, so maybe I'm not being very grateful, but I just want the old ones back!!

When you find something really good...buy a CRAPLOAD of them !

I love the Phoenix BC's and I bought a buch, and still have most of them. I just hope Kanger doesn't try and "improve" the T3's in the same fashon.

It would be SUPER cool if Kanger would make a version of the CE3's (that you can get at the coil to clean/rebuild)

Remember Ravengate?
New & improved??

I'm glad I stocked up a bit on the originals, don't know what I'll use when they have all expired.

No need to search for something new. They are still very good, just not as good as the first version. Since you are stocked up, maybe by the time you need more there will be a V3 already. :)

I agree. While a small step backwards, they are still an excellent device. Phoenix XL's and T3's are my mainstay for now.

I was absolutely crazy about the original Phoenixes and very disappointed with the Reborns. I'm right there with you - If it ain't broke, don't fix it. It's a real shame what they did to my sweet babies!

3 out of the 5 I had died within the first week or so. Some of the originals I had lasted for 3 months with semi-regular use (once a week or until it was too gunked up to vape without cleaning - I vape a lot of sweet liquids and they gunk a coil faster than other flavors).

I guess one out of the pack worked well since my mom's still using it, but the last one is really not good. In fact, none of the 4 I had worked right and I did what I could to fix it without doing any rebuilding since that's just way over my head. I thinned the wicks, lifted the coils and so on. I still got dry hits, terribly muted flavor and it was overall just dissatisfying.

Perhaps many others like these just fine but there seems to be more people unhappy with them than there were with the original design. Hopefully they will go back to it. Maybe they can call them Phoenix Returned or something :D
