So, Ive tried everything to fix this, but still an issue. First off, Ive got a genuine Russian 91%, on top of a ProVari Mini.

I get my coil built, get everything put back together, and initially everything is fine. But I change flavors usually a couple times/day. Eventually, after putting the Russian back on, ProVari doesnt even light up. Once I get the tank torn apart, the part of the deck that is attached via the conter pin, is conky wompus. Not straight across from the unmovable side, but turned. So the coil shorts out the block.

Now, in order to get the Russian to play nice with the Provari, Ive got to unscrew the adjustable part so it sits JUST off the edge of the 510 connection. I think somehow when Im screwing on the main unit, its somehow turning the deck.

Any ideas?

I have the same issue with a kayfun Lite clone. It's currently collecting dust in my cabinet. However, from what I hear, the Russian's center pin is two parts, although it looks like one. I think you can unscrew part of it to make a connection, but without needing to loosen it from the block on the atty. Look up Russian center pin issue on Youtube. I know I saw a video of it...

Been there, done that. May try it again. May have done something wrong, but when I replaced the center pin with the one I got on Fatdaddy vapes, I wasn't getting a reading at all on my ohm meter for it. There may also be an issue with an insulator somewhere, but on the clone I've got, they seem to be glued down. I couldn't get them off to replace them with the insulators I got from Fatdaddy.

I had the exact problem till someone on ecf helped. Remove the bottom screw that makes contact with your device. There is a second screw under that one and tighten it. That's the one that keeps your deck parts nice and tight. Then put the main screw back in-adjusted to the right height so its making contact with your provari and you should be good to go. I wish the makers of the Russians had put instructions in their boxes so we would have known how to fix this. Good luck.

Yep...just the way they are built. I dont use Russians and KF light due to that.

The original Kayfun 3.1 ES has no deck movement when the scew is slightly adjusted. The same with the Taifun GT. Provari pin wont adjust.

I dont know of a quick fix for you with the exception of a loose deck. Been there and done that.

You wouold probably like the Taifun better for a couple reasons anyway. Good luck sir

Oops... I was posting an example for OP to demonstrate, as you pointed out, the R91 center post is two separate pieces.

Sorry you are having issues with your clone...good luck

Ah. Gotcha! Hopefully the OP will be able to fix his Russian, because my cheap Kayfun Lite clone is a paperweight. Thankfully, it was just a trade. I didn't waste money and traded things I was going to toss because I don't use them anymore. So, I didn't really loose anything. I will try the FatDaddy rebuild kit again one day though. When I have time.

That is right. Unscrew the outermost center pin completely and remove it. Then position the block to your liking and tighten the other screw that secures the base as tight as possible.

Put the screw originally removed back and adjust it to your liking.

Thanks guy wished Id have stayed on top of this thread sooner lol...

Im aware of the screw inside the screw. I have removed the adjustable screw and tightened down the main screw as much as I can, to no avail. I tried that first actually. But still, and a few removals and reseat of the Russian, it inevitably moves the deck. Guess its a common issue. Ill keep fiddling maybe I can find a solution

It is really not a common issue. You, for some reason are not getting the pin tight. The only way the positive post will move is if the pin is loose or moved.
Seven tanks, many builds - kind of familiar with the inner workings. :)

If all else fails, get a bigger screwdriver and needle nose pliers to hold the positive plate in line.

You could also put one of the extra tiny orings that are made for the fill screw on the center post pin. I think this would let you tighten it more securely. I don't have a Russian, but on my Kayfun Lite Plus (authentic), I could not screw in the center post tight enough without moving the deck, so I put one of those little orings on the screw, and then I could tighten the screw securely so that the deck didn't move, and it works great on my Provari.
