Not sure how you are cleaning it but if you are trying to clean the wicks/atomizer then thats your problem... I never tried soaking them before but if you do, you need to let them dry out for a long while before using... I soak PT heads in vodka to clean them and will usually rotate 2 of them... take 1 out to soak, put a new one in. After soaking a day or so take the one out and let it sit to dry till I need it. When the 2nd one needs cleaning I repeat

Let the wicks and coils air dry for 24 hours and then do a dry burn before you fill the tank.

Once it's all back together, before you fill it, leave the top off and press the fire button, wait for the coil to turn orange, and release it. You should see wisp of vapor come off. That's the old gunk from the last liquids burning off.

I have a number of iClear 16s, and it takes me 5 minutes to clean them before they're ready to use again. I just wash all components thoroughly in hot water, dry the wicks/coil as much as possible, and then dry hit a couple of times to remove any remaining moisture.

There are videos on YouTube that cover this, and speaking from personal experience, there's no issue to lifespan using this method vs the "wait until everything is completely dry" method.

Just be sure that if you do this you're mindful of how long you're holding down your power button. You can damage your wicks/atomizer if you do this too long or if it's not needed in the first place.

If it bothers you, let it dry as others have suggested.

I used to clean mine and shake them off, refill and vape. The first couple of pulls on the clearo will be a little light, but after that, it's back to normal. I wouldn't inhale those first couple of pulls either as you'll be vaping whatever you cleaned them in - tapwater is not good vapes.

You really don't have to wait 24hrs after to vape a cleaned clearo...

Michael ........ don't become discouraged. I sense you are - I did it as well and I thought I was all set to go with this vaping "thing". Good suggestions already given - my beginning went like yours. It will be good - in a short time you'll have this issue whipped and be loking at another - but you'll be ahead. You'll know you fixed one and can fix the next.

Yea - overnight is perhaps 'best' - but not absolutely the 'only' option. Wash the coil / wick assembly under really hot water and see if you can find a "tool" (tweezers or other small helper-tool) so ya don't scald your fingers. REMEMBER TO "cover the drain opening" so you don't have to chase it or lose it completely. Just rinse the heck out of it, plop it on a paper towel, regular towel worked best for me - so i could "roll it around" - gently but not like it is an egg. Get it as dry as you can and then - blow the rest OFF and OUT of it; I'm sure you can see how. Blow THROUGH the coil and IF by chance you have a hair dryer - set it on a medium heat and let it do the work. Heat it up and in no time - it's dry. If not - the "dry burn" worked well for me. The folks already told ya how - simple and easy - just think about it for a minute.

I ramble - but if you only have 'one' -- you'll be getting more -- even if it's just the COIL ASSEMBLY. Then you can wash the unit out -- swap the coil -- put in a new or washed and dried one (maybe a drop of juice on each wick-end before assembly) fill the tank -- let it sit for 10 or so minutes and you are set. Wash out that used coil -- let it soak a while and then you have one to dry overnight; your order may vary - but you get the idea. You're smart enough to make the move from cigarettes -- you can figure this out in a snap. the help (in a much shorter version than MINE - is HERE on ECF).

Good Luck!
