So I have a k100+ and an Igo W atmoizer. I have the stock Kamry batter and an Effest 18650 amh battery. With my fully charged effest battery I always get a burnt taste and it hits way too hot. I believe my wrap is around .2 maybe lower ohms is it just the battery is putting out too much wattage or what. Also id love to talk to someone who knows a lot about mechanical mods because I want to learn more about battery output and wattage. I know I've been told Efest batteries suck so could that be the issue in itself?

first of all, turn off the mod. walk away.
at 0.2ohms, i am glad it didn't do any damage to you.
you need to bring the ohms up to at least 0.8 - 1. you will start getting lot more vapor from that.
at fully charged, the battery will put out 4.1 - 4.3v. against 0.2ohms, you are drawing 21amp!. if you are pushing that much on a battery rated for 8amps, you basically had a melting battery a few inches from your face!
oh one more thing. give that battery to recycling center. you could have already cooked the core.
Ive always had wraps around .4-.2 range and never any problems. Im using 1mm Ekowool and 27 gage kanthal wire also my battery isnt getting hot or a burnt taste with my lower rated battery that doesnt draw as much power. Is it that this wrap is simply too low for my battery and also how can I find out more about calculating wattages and battery output

Ok if i consider upgrading batteries whats one you reccomend for wraps with very low ohms such as this
Don't take this in wrong way, but I can't make any recommendation. I don't support ultra low sub ohms. It is dangerous and kills the vapor quality anyway.
Zero How would you reccomend I wrap a higher ohm on my mod? Ive always been taught sub ohm wrapping getting the wire tight to the coil
Also with my generic battery that came with my kit which DOES NOT have as high of an output doesnt give me the burnt taste.
Simple (and common) setup.
28gauge micro coil wrap on 1/16" drill bit @ 9/10 wraps. that should run you around 1ohms. stick some organic cotton, you will be vaping hard!
