Maybe the arbiter is shorting out the mod itself somehow?

If there was a problem with your Arbiter or Wake Tank RTA shorting out your mod would display an error message. Most mods will.

Man this is weird, or that or the mod is messed up.

I read the thread . . . seems to me that the ONLY thing you have not tried is another mod with your RTA's.

As I understand it, your RTA's were working fine until the electronics in your mod started with NOT displaying the number of puffs correctly.

You've been building RTA's for a while, so I am led to believe you have coiling and wicking down pat.

You have two RTA's that are doing the same thing on your mod. Known good RTA's are NOT going to be the cause of your mods puff counter wigging out.

Common sense tells me that the problem is likely with your mod.

If you are able . . . take the mod apart to see if there might be any juice that got onto the electronics. If any juice got into the mod clean it out with some alcohol, dry it sufficiently and then retry.

If it still doesn't work then your mod is likely hosed. Replace it.

Do you know someone with a working mod that you can try your RTA's on? If they work on another mod then you know your mod is at fault. Simple.

Good luck!!! :)

And as I've just right now, I believe it's safe to say the mod is confirmed messed up. Got my wake rta been working all morning, Suddenly there was no flavor, not a dry hit cause its feeding lots of juice, checked the puff counter... Stuck again. Even with this wake tank. Now tasteless once again, now it slowly returns but it's definitely not right.

Yep. This mod seems to be on the fritz.

Sorry to hear its crapped out on you, and in the process has made you question your sanity.

But it does now give you an excuse for some vapemail now.

What resistance do you usually work around @Mediocre00Rebel?
.3 or a little lower and around 55-65 watts I felt like that was ideal for the flavor of my juice, also worked perfect for the fact I chain vape. I also found the arbiter 2 is great for that specifically. I'm gonna hit up my favorite vape shop today. Hoping the owner is there he's really cool. He'll set me up with something good. Also. This tank. Omg it leaks. Lmao. That's been solved already though, I just don't use it. Shame too, it's great.

That's surprising, considering the Wake RTA was designed by dotMod. They design more upscale devices and atties. I have never heard of an issue with their designs.

Personally, I would try more wicking in the Wake.

Rule of thumb: not enough wick causes leaking / too much wicking causes dry hits.

Also, you were using the Wake RTA on your wonked-out mod, I suspect juice got into the electronics and is likely the reason why your Valyrian mod is hosed.

At any rate, if you were to take your mod apart, you will probably find juice on the insides. Clean it up nicely and your mod might work fine again (key word = might).

SOLVED!!

Ok, so the problem has been officially solved!!! I got a new mod, and the arbiter tank works fine. I got a new tank too. So now I can switch flavors. The arbiter 2 is a great tank. I went and got a geek vape L200. Soon as I fired it up it was immediately different. I tried the old one again just to see, and it obviously has a problem.

It was the mod this whole time.

I tried everything with that thing. I got it for 5$ at the mall where a vape stall was selling all their old merch. I think it must have been a return. Could have always had something wrong with it. I tried, and tried, and tried with that thing. Also, the mod was going on the fritz before I ever even put the wake rta on it.

I just wanted to add some more information to this in case anyone in the future has the same problem as I did. Ive noticed now with my new mod the batteries are lasting longer, and that the voltage was measuring higher on the valyrian. Same batteries and tank were used when I did this test.

Valyrian 3: 0.26 ohm coil - 70 watts - 4.32v

Geek Vape L200: 0.26 ohm coil - 70 watts - 4.18volts

Not sure if this is normal with mods, but I definitely noticed my batteries only lasted like half the day maybe less. The geek vape is better.

Good info!!! Thanks for adding that.

As you've learned, some mods electronics handle things differently versus other mods. Better designs will give you better battery life.

FWIW, I have a few of the OG GeekVape Aegis Solo mods and those read coils very accurately. That's compared to my other mods with DNA or Dicodes chipsets (those are super accurate). Battery life on the Solo's is excellent as well.

Thanks again and I'm happy you got it all squared away!!!
