I unsoldered the wire from the pin, then resoldered back on. It might actually be easier to unsolder the wire from the board instead. You would have to look at it and it depends on your soldering skills as well.
About the airflow getting less when the atty is fired could be too much wick or the coil too close to the airhole. Which atty is doing this?
