istick 30w - not charging to full

I just got an istick 30w the other day from a local tobacco store. I bought an istick 30w for $45 which isn't too bad, I'm having problems with it not charging to full. I am using a 1a rated charger and it is supposed to charge to full in exactly 2.5 hours with a dead battery. I cannot get it to charge above about 75-80%, no matter what I do. As of now it's been on the charger for 2 hours and 38 minutes and is at about 80%, and is showing no sign of continuing to charge.

When I leave the device on overnight, I will wake up and it will be at around 65%, and it would have just stopped charging. I don't understand.

Please don't be a smart, I'm sure I can't be the only one experiencing this. I will do so if I have too, there's nothing wrong with posting a thread first

I'd appreciate it if someone actually read the original post and gave some advice or could maybe say what's wrong.

If it helps, I didn't get it in a package, pretty sure the shop owner sold me one of the testers. It might not have been a tester but he just directly handed it too me, I didn't have a problem with it because I vaped on it before I bought it and it was fine.

when it stops charging, have you tried un plugging and re plugging it back in? mine also seems to "under charge" my battery from time to time, but never as low as 60~%.

i notice too when i turn off the istick to charge, it fully charges for me. only when its "on" and charging, it stops at like 90~%

If it isn't charging properly, I wouldn't use it and I would return it.

the little icon doesn't look as full to me when it's done and goes out on my 30 as the 20s do.

how are you charging it? electric/usb ? or via usb laptop?

but it sounds defective..especially if it's a B&M return that puppy or an exchange.

I apologize, Daniel. It was Dinner time here. Not charging over 65% is an obvious malfunction and reporting returns are best done quickly.

I hope you come back to enjoy this forum, it has much to offer and most people are of better quality than me.

There is a definite issue with either the charging circuit of the battery itself.

I would never leave this mod on overnight, much less on a charger.

I would return it as soon as possible.

It's not worth risking a possible house fire over.
