I've been building my atomizers for a couple months now. I have an istick 30w with a kanger subtank mini. I've been building my attys at around 0.5 to 0.7 ohms. I was ok running it on 20w but lately I've been wanting to jack it up to 25w but when I do, I get dry hits or just a nasty burnt taste. I'm not sure if it's the juice I made or the atomizer but I'd really like to figure out why I can't run my ecig on a higher wattage. I'm using 26g kanthal wire and Japanese cotton from MFS, and my juice is 70/30 with 6% nic. If anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!

with some versions of the subtank mini rba, the juice channels are too small to supply enough juice for that kind of wattage. If you have the newer version with the holes in the side of the barrel, then most likely it's your wick. Too much cotton in the wick can choke the juice and not flow into the coil, producing burnt or dry hits. And once you've burnt the cotton, game over, it's burnt for good. I have the older version of the RBA and drilled two 1/16 holes in the barrel, right above the juice channels. I can go as high as 26 watts with no problems, but don't because I like a cooler vape. I also have switched to Rayon instead of cotton. I find it wicks better and has a better taste.
