I was planning on purchasing an istick 50 to use as an affordable and compact daily driver but after seeing so many accounts of failing devices I can't make myself buy one in good conscience. Right now I'm trying to decide between buying an MVP3 or two istick 30's, since I don't see many complaints about the 30's. Anyone know if there's any other options that offer similar (or smaller) size and battery life?

In my experience the Istick 30w has been solid. If you were going to get an MVP 3 get the new pro version. It's 60w and I think it's battery is a little bigger. Comes with their new subtank too. Personally I don't know if I could go back to such a large device. Yeah the istick kind of ruined me on that.

I have both the Istick and the MVP3 for me hands down the MVP is better quality. I still have my MVP 2 going almost 2 years. I do keep the Istick in my carry case in my purse but I wouldn't rely on it for everyday use. I plan to buy another MVP3 because thinking that the prices will go down with the Pro coming out. I have no need to subohm so higher wattages mean nothing to me. I just like the longer battery life of the MVP 3,

Hard to go wrong with Innokin. The only mod I'd trust that comes out of China. If you have a need for a higher wattage mod the MVP pro would be a good one at 60w. Past experiences with ismoka leave me with a low recommendation as far as isticks are concerned. Not sure about the 30w the wife saw one the other day that she liked and if things move foreword she'll have the last of it's kind that I will ever buy. With what I've spent on cheap devices so far I could have been money ahead with a quality mod.

That's a good deal on that MVP3 liane, and I hadn't even heard of the pro version that's out now. The istick 50 is so appealing to me as a beater/daily driver mod because of how small it is while offering good battery capacity and being relatively inexpensive. RockyMountainVapor emailed me today and told me their latest batches have not seen a single return and they are offering a 90 day warranty on them so I went ahead and ordered one. Figured for $43 and free shipping its worth trying it out, if it makes it through the warranty then at least it was useful and if not I can just return it and forget about the isticks.

What wattage do you usually vape? Do you subohm? Do you want the 50w for the increased battery life or because you use that wattage?

Unfortunately there aren't many good mods at that wattage. I love the Smowell DVP50, a cheapo mod with the electronics of the Smok m50.

As for 30w mods I'd go with the Sigelei mini. Simple, easy to use, passthrough capability, although a little boxy. Nowadays with the price of the mini, buying a non removable battery mod is a con.

I don't usually vape above 30 watts, so a 30 watt mod is actually fine with me in that regard. It's the battery life and size that appeal to me the most, nothing on the market equals the size of the istick 50 while also giving that kind of battery capacity. Honestly I have plenty of removable battery mods, so something you just plug in and charge sounds pretty nice to me too, though it would be irrefutably better to have both options, the fact is to make it removable would likely result in the loss of the size advantage the istick currently has.
