I *WAS* going to shop for a replacement for my TC40 as it was the only TC mod that I regularly used which only supported Ni but now with the Ti support I think I'll skip replacing it.

it is how my thinking is forming...
I shuffle around A LOT and I've not heard any major
out-break complaints about the istick 30w, nor, the TC40w...

for me, it does it all ~ 2600mah-USB charge-40w-SS spring 510-TC-compact-Price ~
has been 2½-3 months now, hard everyday duty and it doesn't miss a beat (wife is brutal on gear)

have to admit I'd feel better if it said innokin on the side, but until I find a fault
or it fails, shes OK in my book...

I love mine. Didn't get it for the Tc. Just got as a backup to my other ones. I'm thinking of getting a few more before they quit making them.

I'm new to TC and the wifes TC40 gets used as a VW tootle device 99% of the time

I use the evicVT, but because of firmware qwirks, started 100% TC with it
and I am learning and starting to get used to it in temp mode

I have no issues with TC (as I hear many complain) been pretty much plug-n-play

best I can say is; nice to not have to worry about the 'burnt-hit'
other than that (which is a big deal) kanthal or TC both getting it done for me...

:)

:matrix:
I think they will keep them in production for awhile
like 'hotcakes' they're cheap and everybody likes them...

all the design (read $$) went into the original iStick 20w
and the 30 & 40 just followed suit
some firmware tweaks on the board chip and they are selling like... (well, you know)

:D

I thought it was easier to use the mega tank with the nickel coil on the eleaf than the EVic mini, hahaha.
I still haven't really figured out how to use my Joyetech mini

I don't have a VTC (yet) but planning on one soon
gonna go with the future proof protection of replaceable batteries

myself didn't care for Ni, qwikly moved to Ti and very happy I did

just set your VTC to 40w in TC mode (mimicking the TC40)
then 300° a starting point, work up/down in temp as you see fit too... (ezpz)

Thank You, I will give that a try :)

should be as easy as your TC40

are you locking your coil (when both are cold) before first firing... ?

LOCKs 2.png

Locking the atomizer :

To lock the atomizer Ω:
•Enter the menu.
•Press the left adjustment button 2 times.
•With the Atomizer line of the screen blinking, press the right adjustment button once to lock the reading.
A padlock should appear to the right of the ohms of the atomizer.

I need to order some more coils, or get some nickel wire. I do have this page bookmarked so I can reference it when I get those :)

I did my first couple of twisted wire coils a few days ago. Those turned out good and I really like them. I've been trying to make just some simple Claptons, but the drill keeps breaking my wire :(
I need to experiment some more with all :)

the titanium seemed kinda fussy for me, {to wrap}
so I got one of these to help (does a nice job)

- Coil Master Coil Jig

I'm happy with single strand, single horizontal coils so it's all I bother with...

good luck
:)
