As far as i know, it's only an issue with the 50. Everyone I know with an istick 30w has not had an autofire issue.Hey everyone, does anyone know if the auto firing issue is an issue with just the istick 50's or does it also happen with the iStick 30's as well?
Thanks
Thanks yuseffuhler. As far as i know, it's only an issue with the 50. Everyone I know with an istick 30w has not had an autofire issue.
No problem. You might have noticed that lots of people recommend the 30w, and very very few recommend the 50. It's got some serious issues depending on which batch you have. Thanks yuseffuhler.
So then it's true that it only pertains to the 50 watt mod because of a bad batch.. At first I heard people giving all sorts of reasons for the problem such as it was due to e-juice leaking into the 510 connection which isn't sealed. "The 30watt & 50watt both have a spring-loaded 510 which is NOT sealed on the inside of the iStick. Juice getting inside of the mod could cause this problem. This would explain why the 20watt iStick didn't have the same issues, it has a sealed 510 connector."No problem. I was asking if anyone has heard of any of the other iStick mods having the same problem..Why would it be called an iStick 50w auto fire problem if it effected the 30w?
This seems to be a chip issue and they are not the same chip.

Yes, Eleaf has a Youtube video on it.Saw a post earlier today that their is a new istick 100 that runs dual 18650 (replaceable) batteries. Thats all I know about it.
SIL has an istick 30 and really likes it.![]()
Nah, it's due to shifty design not related to juice leakage. No mod should catch fire while charging. Good rule of thumb. I wouldn't buy one, just because you have no way of knowing if yours will catch on fire or not.So then it's true that it only pertains to the 50 watt mod because of a bad batch.. Read their warranty page. It only applies if you buy direct from them. And only use their tanks. Go figure. The biggest issue is Eleaf will not warranty their products , they might say they will but they don't , "Reddit" has pages and pages of users experiences and it's ugly.
Bad for someone with OCD lol.One problem the 30W has... Some of them at least... The 510 threading is a bit off. So I will have about 50% of the atty's I use get jammed as I'm screwing them down. Then tend to stop about 1mm above the deck. They make connection just fine, but it's more of an aesthetics thing.

Let me rephrase my statement there. There's no way to tell if you're one of the lucky ones that has an istick 50 with a much higher chance of catching on fire and autofiring. You could say that about most things really.
Still, that's an annoyance and something I would never put up with.My 30 watt doesn't autofire but the fire button is now sticking and won't stop firing unless I completely turn it off.
