I bought myself an eleaf istick 50w this week and ive only been able to use it once because last night i picked it up and it wasnt turning oni clicked it five times tried to fire it but nothing happened so i tried charging it and i came back in about an hour and i picked it up and it was burning hot and it still will not turn on... if anyone knows how i can fix this problem please let me know. Thanks!

Your device is defective. If you have a warranty, return it.
There have been a LOT of issues with this model (specifically the 50 watt istick).
I recommend choosing a different model (iStick 30 watt) or an MVP.

You need to return it ASAP. Don't continue to charge it if the unit is getting hot as you might start a fire.

As much as I love my 50w iStick, I finally got around to ordering a Sigelei 150w box mod to replace it. My iStick has been fine so far, but I am leery with the problems other people have had.
It's probably a good thing it won't come on. Might want to look for a different mod. Just sayin
I wouldn't go near an iStick for two reasons , Eleaf is the worst as far as backing up their products and the devices are mediocre at best.

I have had the same thing happen before with a very low battery. After 30 minutes or so of charging, it would turn on and work but without getting hot.
As already stated I wouldn't charge or use the device any more. Sounds like a bad battery. Lipo cells shouldn't get hot while charging. Warm is ok but hot is dangerous.

It should not be burning hot.
Something is definitely wrong and that unit is potentially dangerous.
Unfortunately since it's a fixed battery, you can't just pop out the batteries
Define "burning hot"
Mine gets about 5-7° warmer if I use the stock 1amp charger, I stopped using that charger and it stays cool when charging.
If yours is get hotter than that, like everyone else said, return it asap
