istick 50w resistance reading .2ohms high

I have had my istick 50w for about 24 hours now. I the issue I am having is that all my 1.8ohm tanks are reading 2.0ohms on the display of the iStick. This is the case for my Aspire ET-S and Nautilus Minis. On two occasions the Nautilus tanks have read 1.9. Never 1.8. Even with brand new coils. I get the same result on 4 Nautilus Minis and 3 ET-S tanks. I get the same results with the mod turned off when I screw on the tanks as I do with the mod turned on. Any ideas or suggestions?

is it hurting your vape or anything in anyway? not knowing the exact resistance of your coils? If its not I honestly wouldnt worry about it.

Thats just a silly girl answer of course its hurting a guy can lose sleep and go crazy over serious issues such as these!

besides the ohms being off - and the chips delivered power is off due to the ohms being misrespresented - not HURTING much besides the fact i have to OCD double check the connection to make sure its solid so im not "jumping" power as the ohms jump between puffs.

if solid numbers werent an OCD thing to me, id just adjust to taste.

i think this issue is related to the spring connection in the 510 - between my mvp2 my istick20 and the istick30, the istick 30 ALWAYS is either .1or .2 higher in resistance when reading coils from the "same tank"

So help me, I'll never understand why some folk drop their panties to wear 'em as socks!

Day-um, guess why da manufacturers gave us da VV/ VW capability; to adjust your vape to your vapin' comfort zone!

If one is so concerned 'bout ohmage (especially sub ohmers, not a diss BTW), buy a mid-priced DVM or a high dollar PV. Also Google 'stacked tolerances'. Dat's not even counting manufacturing inconsistencies! Oh, don't ferget connection cleanliness and conductivity...

Da above also applies to 'rms' vs 'mean' vs da next fav pet peeve.

Folk, variable means ya can adjust your voltage and/or watts to keep ya off da 'bakky.

I apologize if I come across as harsh. But, go ahead pay $35-40 for a PV, but don't expect a lab standard 'instrument'.

just for INFO --

istick 20 - 5.5v MAX - 20W MAX - 1ohm minumum.

say i like to vape at 20W minimum because i like a warm vape - my coils are all 1.5 ohms so i can reach the full 20W via ohms law ----- now that the coils read 1.7(thoreticaly) the istick still limits to 5.5V and thus lowers the Wattage down to 17~W

17~W is too cold.

if "limits" werent a factor, i wouldnt have the OCD to make sure HARD NUMBERS stay HARD.

Yes, these factory coils are often a little off.

Yes, a cheap mod can be a little off.

If that's a problem, make your coils and buy an sx mini. Goodness.

all i did was explain HOW it can be an issue - no need for canned responses to get new gear, im satisfied with the gear i have.

i do make my own coils - and this is how i know personaly that an ohm reader on a APV being off, can "cause issues"

no mod is perfect, and all are off to some degree, even some hana mods and other more "expensive" APVs have ben known to have off readers as well.

0.5 would be a concern

0.1 would not be a concern.

0.2........ maybe something to do the with the 510 connector on the istick.

I have 3 isticks and 2 sx minis. I love both, but they aren't in the same league (and certainly not the same price range). As much as I would probably love to have more sx minis, its unlikely. I could very well buy more isticks. For the price, I think the istick is a great mod. One of mine reads 0.1ohm high, and two are about right considering they only read to the tenths place. I overlook it because of the prices I paid for them. If one can't overlook it, its not the right mod for you.

Also it seems when I used Aerotanks, most of the coils I bought read above 1.8ohms. Anywhere from 1.9-2.2ohms, in fact. So combine that with a mod that isn't perfect, and yes, you'll have to adjust to taste, not numbers.
