Like Alien Traveler , I prefer calling it insurance rather than back up. I currently have 5 regulated box mods ranging from 30W to 150w, 2 with TC plus 2 mech mods, all of which are in my daily rotation.

I also have over 15 RTA's and rda's, but on those invariable bad days when 1 or more of my ADV's decides to either leak or require a rewick or coil rebuild, I drag out the back up squad consisting of 2 Vamo v5's and 3 ego twist w/mini protank 2's while I put the others right.

The one thing I do find irritating about having a larger number of mods are people who ask, "Well, now that you've upgraded, you can sell me one of the old ones." They can't comprehend that the new acquisition is a member of the family rather than an up grade.

I tried to do a line up for a photo, but its kind of hard to get the lighting right for a picture like this. oh well.
Here are some of my backups:

I actually even have more backups, just in case I happen to lose all of those at exactly the same time, but it was getting hard to fit any more in the lineup.

its true, I am obsessed.

EDIT: on second thought, none of these are truly 'backups'. They are each different. If I lost any one of them, I would have to consider finding a replacement.
Great stuff my vaping jealouses is kicking in lol!

I wanted to know what everyone uses when your main vaping equipment fails.

I experience no failures. I do own more than one PV, but I don't experience failures. I have zero concern about PV failure.

On the off chance I have a coil fail, I keep a shorty carto in my glove box. That's either "old habit" or just my laziness of never cleaning out my glove box because I haven't had a coil fail since I stopped using commercial attys, and it wasn't all that common when I used those. I don't actually remember the last time I heard a coil pop. It might be a couple of years ago.

I have a little bit of pre-cut/ready-to-be-wicks cotton in my backpack. I have had to re-wick once or twice when on-the-go.

I have a couple of spare batteries for my flashlight in the tool box on my truck that while not completely ideal, are appropriate for my PV if I were ever to need a spare batt... That's never happened either, but I've thought about it as a possibility.

I don't really carry vaping supplies or 'backups'. I don't carry extra juice - I don't carry a spare PV - I don't really keep anything prepared but a little wick. I don't experience failures.

My back ups are all identical to my regulars though they all get steady use.

2X Titanide Themis with Prometey v1's and 2X Super T Precise + with either a Prometey or a Taifun GS. I keep a mod in the car incase I forget to take one.

I kept "back ups" when I was going through the eGo/vision spinner/and even MVP type PV's but since October when I got my first iStick and the subsequent other 2..I rotate..and never had a failure on either..so a lil bottle of juice and a new kanger dual coil..and I won't experience any "vape-outages". :thumb:
