I just saw a istick clone on vaping cheap dot com, has anyone heard of this? I wonder if the clones have workef out some of the istick issues . ghost firing etc

It's certainly not impossible.

I just saw them listed on Fasttech as well. I'm sure a few have been ordered, and perhaps in a few weeks, there will be some reviews.

vapingcheap dot com is referencing the fastech Smart-20, but I don't think it's a clone. It's just the istick rebadged.

They are listed as authentic on FT - so they are genuine products. They don't sell fakes over on FT, clones and copies by the boat load, but no fakes.

Saying that, sometimes even the ones that are sold as clones are made in the same factories as the originals. It's all very confusing.

I would just recommend buying one from a reputable vendor - the cheapest is not always the best value. By using a reputable vendor at least you might get a few weeks of a warranty.

I've always wondered how the dynamics of "rebadging" work.

I know one great company is definitely selling genuine rebranded isticks, but not at the smart-20 price. They've also seemingly had a deal with Joyetech for quite a while, and I know eleaf and Joyetech have some kind of relationship.

Anyway, rebranded definitely seems possible. In which case, I wouldn't expect any of the issues to have been fixed :)

It's curious that FT has the genuines for $35 (listed yesterday?) and smart-20's for around $25 (listed today), but it all beats me.

ETA: InTheShade, the smart-20 on FT was what I was referring to, but couldn't remember the name to save my life :)

I'm surprised somebody bothered to clone the istick. It's already a very affordable mod. I love mine. I know there are issues with the displayed voltage vs the actual voltage, but once dialed in to the right vape who cares what the screen says? If it's cheap enough though maybe I'll get one for a backup.

ft has 'authentic istick' listed for $34 and the smart-20 for $26

Lol. Craziness. Fast Tech is like a whole other world.

It's a rabbit hole. At first glance it doesn't look like they have much - then you get into all the differnet SKU's they have per item and then discover they have other stuff besides e-cigs.

I've spent a lot of money there, but I've got a lot of stuff too - just remember to come out for food and vape occasionally

funny, I saw an entirely different set of clones on FB yesterday. They were 24.98, and had a "real" red, a couple of bodies with splashes of color on top of the base. It was on a site that can't be posted here, and it never gave the original company of origin, but they were really pretty too.

I was wondering the same thing though, with a device that you can get for $30, why clone?
