between here and there
I have two chargers that no longer work, after being used daily for approx. 6 weeks each. I'm afraid to plug the USB cable to charge my iStick TC40W into my computer. Don't want to risk damaging my computer. Has any one else had this problem?

Charger (1) Courier Model #TJYB750 5.0V - 500mA
Charger (2) Generic Model ZCHY-N6 5.0V - 2.0A
You know you can go to walmart and in the electric dept and the car parts dept they have wall plug ins that have usb chargers along with reg plug ins sockets. They are around 5 or 6 bucks and are the 5 v. I have several placed around my house and they work fine.

:)

Welcome and glad you joined. Might want to use a "charger" rated at the Eleaf mfg'rs recommended 1A rating, could be part of your previous problems.
I have been using the 1 amp wall charger for 3 years on my TC40 and have not had any problems.

iStick TC40W - Eleaf

Aug 13, 2015 - Despite the small size, it can reach 40W with large 2600mAh power capacity. ... temperature in TC mode(Nickel 200), you can enjoy different vaping ... It will take about 3.5 hours to get a full charge via 1A wall adapter.

Using a decent charger with a higher rating (like 2.1A) is not a problem, as current is drawn and not pushed - it's actually better as the charger isn't being constantly worked at 100% capacity.

The OP's first charger, the 500mA one is quite under-specced for the job and probably died as a result. I bet it ran hot during it's lifetime.
