ISTICK TC40W JUICE FROM MOUTH TIP AND LEAKING FROM VENT

i just got me a new istick tc40w and ... well... its tank is getting mighty hot and leaking juice from the vent hole at the bottom.

i have the unit set to:

430 F Ni
unlocked resistance
and its reading 40W on the last line at the bottom.

Now when i am vaping from it (and its a quarter full), i am actually feeling juice coming into drops in my mouth from the mouth tip. and i have it held vertically so its not like its upside down.

then all of a sudden i felt where my hand held the unit get all moist. lo and behold the juice started to leak through the "Strip of line" which i assume is the vent hole for air?
should that be closed or open?

furthermore the tank is getting mighty hot to the touch.

What is going on here? i am not sure what i did wrong.

and yes this is the tank that came with it.

Well we know about the mod.. Might try turning the power DOWN. But its the atomizer mounted on top that seems to be giving you the problem..
Not knowing what you have, I would say you have a wicking issue going on. Rewick or change the coil head. see what happens.

FWIW, you have the thing vaping at 430degrees, that might cause the metal around the coil to get a bit warm. Ever felt the outside of an electric heater or Toaster, same thing happening here.

How do i "rewick"? this is a ready coil ... i am still a newb. remember?

See that thing sticking out of the base with Ni200 on it.. That needs to be changed...... Wick and coil are inside there. Youtube may have some vids on rewicking that coil head. But that head is intended to be disposable. You could also have some bad orings, causing leakage.

well it did come with two of the parts with the ni200 on it. whats it called... one was installed and another in a bag in the box. i'll put that in there and see and lower the temp.
