so my first two attys form the blu didnt produce as well as my new ones - the draw was harder and i assumed they were gunked up

i did an IPA bath which improved it for a day

then i soaked them in dishwashing liquid and water for 2 days, boiled them, then dried it for 24 hours

now they produce a bit more vapor but its harsh and burns my throat and nose

i havent tried the crest method... is there really no way to perfectly preserve an atty - these new ones and old ones are like night and day.

You might try an ultra sonic cleaner. Maybe you've got soap still inside your atty? If you don't own an ultra sonic cleaner most jewelry stores will clean your jewelry for free or really cheap, might be worth it to see if they'll do your atty for you lol. Or you can try my famous (throw it in the wash with your clothes method) worked for me anyway :p

Not sure I would do soap and water. neither are good for an atty, but you can do a post-soap IPA wash to get residual soap and water out of the atty. Or 100 proof vodka works well too.

i know the blu kit is warrantied for a year - i dont know that it includes the atomizer... i'll ask

but they are 2 for 10.00 shipped so it's no biggie - and i still have the 2 new ones

i'll try another alcohol soak - never gonna use detergent again - it made me sick today and i swear i saw blue smoke amongst the vapor

scary

i also tried them with this coffee flavor lorann and it was SUPER HORRIBLE but it stopepd the bruning sensation - couldnt get the taste/smell out of my mouth - i might just retire these attys

when i was using the blu carts im pretty sure i dry burned them too many times anyways - and plus there were 2 days i vaped straight humco glycerin in these things - they are pretty abused but still work ok - minus the burnt smell and taste -

i know they fit 510s so when my PT comes in i'll try the dry burn method, otherwise its the trash or $5.00 shipped to the first bidder for both lol

Janty Dura attys are covered for 6 months aren't they?

.

The actual Dura ones yes. Heaven gifts has good warranties as well - you pay shipping though, but on returns you can chose the low airmail rate. Some of their warranties are a year. Some - Ruyan - five years - on certain parts.

Has anyone tried using a denture soak? I have a partial that has metal on it that I clean in a denture soak for 10 minutes and it comes out sparkling fresh :) I've had my atty's for a month now with no problems and they don't seem to be dirty, but maybe I'll give one a dunk here soon and see how it goes.

Kno - sorry you had atty trouble - I have a 902 and haven't had any issues with it in a month *knocks on wood*
