So many conspiracy theories around here.... People have been selling out left and right - where is all this "old stock" coming from? May 5th came from an e-mail that Bill Godshall forwarded along - not a distributor.

What conspiracy theory? Everyone was told that May 5th was the ban day. Not a word about anything today nothing.

It's pretty obvious if you look at the supplier threads that most of them are having a very difficult time getting things through customs. No conspiracy here. Just supply and demand, and the FDA obviously has put pressure on customs to detain any suspected e-cigarette shipments -- this more than anything has created the panic buying. Suppliers are having a hard time getting new stock. That's why Cash of Pure Smoker is having his own e-cig manufactured in the states.

"They" implies all of the suppliers, which is not a true statement. :)
But understandable, there are so many suppliers. We are not naive and the pricing on some suppliers sites is outrageous. It's not hard to get pricing lists and order requirements from any major manufacture. We know where wholsale prices are at. I just find it unscrupulous that these suppliers charge upwards of 100+ dollars for their starter kits, taking advantage of people that dont know any better.
So forgive us consumers if we are skeptical.

I went back to analogs today. RYO is still cheap, despite the new tax. Gov't is a joke and Im not going to change my life in a huge way, then be let down by those who supposed to serve the people and eventually have to fill my lungs with tobacco or quit anyways. Maybe Ill change my mind, but best of luck to y'all either way. You got my full support.

Well, don't buy from those sites. There are many suppliers that have good reputations, have been reviewed well whose prices are reasonable. Let's face it though, it's just hard for them to stay in stock.

I have to wait 2 weeks from England to get my EVO supplies but at least I get them. And my favorite ecig, the Vapor King I've gotten in bits and pieces as Steve at Vape4Life is able to yank a little here, a little there out of customs.

My comment had nothing to do with being skeptical or naive, or conspiracy, all I said was that why are we constantly being told that we soon will not be able to get our supplies when it is simply not true.
I agree, it's the suppliers who will suffer. The orders individuals make from China are 100 times less likely to be stopped due to the small size.
It's just the atmosphere around here lately.
Admittedly this is a great resource for us all, but it is biased toward the suppliers. The current situation at stake is not weather we will be able to use e-cigs, personal vaporizers, or whatever you wish to call it. What's at stake is weather or not we will be able to sell/buy it.
So you have suppliers on here trying to rally the troops for their right to sell to you and your right to buy from them. Then you have the option to buy from China and take your own chances with customs.
Don't get me wrong, I support the right to be able to sell and buy here in the US legally.
But when push comes to shove I know I will be able to get supplies until the factories in China are shut down.

This forum is getting ridiculous. Please don't make wild accusations and lump everyone into it! I for one, would never use such a tactic an neither would the majority of the sponsor suppliers. We go out of our way, work countless hours, and loose shipments to the FDA trying to get orders into this country for our customers. Sheeeeesh you guys are unreal!

Sorry, I didn't mean to accuse anybody of anything. I am just stating my opinion. I'll probably get banned for this but F**K IT.
It doesn't help that the one or two most visible voices for the ECA are also suppliers that are charging 100+ for their starter kits, ergo the suppliers with the most to lose.
What would you think from my standpoint?

Nice knowing ya'll!
