So after showing up here two years ago, never having seen an e-cig at all, I got some great help from all of you and ended up quitting smoking on the day my 510 kit arrived.

Two years later, apperently e-cigs are no longer a niche thing.

The last few months I have been out, I have noticed people just outright using e-cigs. Not friends I have suggested them to, but complete strangers at a bar or store. Its pretty cool to see this!

Last time I went to see a local band play, including me, there were 7 people using e-cigs out of a relativley small crowd - say 50 people. I didn't talk to a lot of them, but what I noticed was I was the odd man out with my eGo 1000mAh battery... most other people had 510 or 808 looking e-cigs.

Its like the dawn is over and now its morning...

And the seven probably don't post on-line about ecigs. If you want to be helpful, then stay with the forum. And continue to let our readers know which ecigs are typicially being used.

I never notice people using e-cigs out there. Of course, they always ask me about it when I'm out and about with it. However, there are a several co-workers who are using them now. I was the pioneer around here, even though 7-11 has been selling two units for a while, and a couple tobacco shops carry overpriced items. We only have one around here that actually carries juice. It sucks, and I still buy online, but in a pinch I can head to the mall for something. Anyhow, I digress. I have recently started hearing radio commercials for one in particular. I can't remember which one at the moment. That's when I knew it was becoming noticed and more mainstream. Next step, television. Then we'll (and the government) know it's arrived.

The more we vape and answer questions about ecigs, the more they will be accepted. We have to dispel the antifreeze myth.

Today, one of my more omniscient co-workers told me, "Those things have antifreeze in them." , so I said, "nope, that's a Big Tobacco myth they started because they are loosing customers, besides, If these things had any antifreeze in them, I would already be dead." She looked kind of surprised to be confronted and said "Well, that's what I heard." Since I had her on the ropes, I added, "yeah, from the same people who spent thirty years telling us that cigarettes don't cause cancer so they could keep selling them."

Then she made it political saying how she thought conservatives were FOR Big Tobacco. Weird.

Don't be so sure that juices don't contain antifreeze. I think I can taste it some tobacco-imitation juices.

I've come across a lot of smokers who ask me, "is that an e cigarette?" And they will go on to say, "oh, I tried one and it sucked." And of course my first response is, "They are not all the same. You had a model that was crap." And will then usually tell them they need an ego and give them this website.

I've seen that a lot as well. I just tell them that the more it looks like a cigarette, the worse it performs, then show 'em my eGo topped with a clear EMDCC. That usually garners some interest.
