Yes, it's easy, no I didn't read the tips and yes I'm a ..... cause I tried to do it, and ruined two 306 attys, after I had used them and got a burnt taste... Yeah I figure it's a common sense thing, but since I'm a noob I get a break right? I just have remember to dewick them BEFORE I use hem then it's easy.

Try soaking the burnt taste ones in freshly boiled water

This is just for other readers - do not dewick an atty if you ever want to use cartridges on it again

Well... Im not quite sure what dewicking means, I'll look it up one of these days.

I don't bother with de-wicking or de-bridging atties. I don't think it really makes that much of a difference and if you could ruin a perfectly good atty if you don't do it right.

Well I'm finding that my extremely finicky 306 1.7 attys are a lot less finicky after I did it.
