I am having troubles with my MVP 2.0. I got it two months ago and it was wonderful. I would get three days out of it running around 300 puffs a day. I have dropped mg in my juice, so I obviously increased my puffs a day. I hit about 450 a day but my battery life is only a third. I hit yellow by 400 puffs. Did I ruin my battery life by draining it to red before charging?

No, you can't ruin your battery by going all the way down to red, so don't worry about that.

Are you using the same atomizer? Same wattage? Resistance? Those things will shorten your battery life. I honestly don't look at my post count so I have no idea at what number my battery turns to yellow, but my MVP 2 lasts me two days of moderate vaping with single coil atties.

hi, imo, I think the mvp 2 sucks, I have had mine for 3 weeks now and barely use it, but when I do, I use 10 watts and get a lot of battery life, I charged it via ac adapter I bought when it hit yellow, I think I had 2-3 days and I vape ALOT

maybe a faulty battery? but also like the others asked, what wattage do you use and same HW ? I have the kanger pro tank 3 and a kanger airflow attachment, I only use it for non halo juices when I feel like trying something new but always go back to my halo juices

I use an Aspire BVC, not the dual coil but the "ceramic" coil it is a 1.9 R. I found a sweet spot at 3.4 v 6.5w

A single 1.8Ω coil at 6.5W shouldn't drain your battery so fast. I don't use Aspire BVC coils myself, but I vape at similar wattages (maybe a bit higher) with stock coils and like I said, I get 2 days at least per charge. It sounds like your internal battery is failing. You might try to vape it all the way down, and then recharge it until it's completely full (the green light on the charger needs to go off). Sometimes even Li-Ion batteries like to be drained all the way and recharged to full capacity. They don't have a memory per se, but many experts recommend this procedure be performed at least once, at the beginning of the battery life.

It can't hurt. :D

Thanks for the advice. Like I said, I usually do vape to dead red then recharge until green is off. I like my Nauti Mini and the atty to boot. I have to stock clearo that came with MVP butI find the taste lacking with those silica deals.

Iclear has a boring silica rope wick, I agree, and it's not a great clearo, but IMO it's much safer than the fiberglass that Aspire is using in their coils.

Try the wall adapter--maybe your battery isn't getting a proper charge from your laptop, for some reason...

If that doesn't help, consider getting an MVP 20. :D You need more than one battery anyway, and you deserve a nice present. The MVP 20 is a nice one--spring-loaded 510 connection, 20 watts. What's not to like?

Whaaaaaat?! Their wicks are fiber glass?

;)

Per this lab report, once posted on their website and now pulled, the answer is yes:

http://kn100.info/hosted/scs.pdf

They now claim that the material is ceramic--whatever that means--and that the lab made a mistake.

It crumbles and it burns. Looky here:

I need a new tank then. I am a Boilermaker so I get my fair share of silica splinters as is. Any suggestions?

At this time, only Aspire BVC coils have that highly questionable material, so any other clearomizer with a plain, braided amorphous silica rope wick would be a better choice, IMO. Or you could try Aspire BDC coils. I use Kanger Aerotanks and Emow Megas mostly and I like them. But there are many other good clearomizers on the market.

You could also rebuild your BVC coils with Japanese organic cotton, as many here do. There are tutorials on YouTube and on ECF.

Good luck!
