ITaste MVP Died :(

After a couple of months of careful nursing, the USB connector in my MVP finally bit the bullet. Still have my Provape 1 as a backup, but I will be replacing the MVP shortly.

Does anyone know if the USB issue has been resolved, or is it still the weak part of the MVP? I really loved the device, but I also want a device that will last and doesn't need to be babied, so I'm toying with biting the bullet for the Provari. Since it is a travel with me device, will most likely go with the mimi and the extension, giving the option of smaller or the regular Provari.

The MVP is a great device, but the USB connection started to wobble very early in my ownership.

heyy maybe you could try fixing it? a soldiering kit doesnt cost too much and it'd be a fun project?

it was supposed to be fixed in the second version, the one with actual ego threading.

version 3 is coming later this year, or so I hear

I have the second edition, with the ego threading. Got it late January. Have no problems with it, so that's a "maybe it's fixed" answer??

Yes, I've heard the rumors about V3, but nothing recently about its timing.

Thanks! Still debating between replacing it, or just going ahead and ordering the Provari. My Provape 1 on a Vivi Nova with a 2.0 is workng well for me right now, so no rush!

Will try and see if I can fix it this weekend.

It looks like (last pic) the V1 model, as I didn't see any threads on the outside of the well. And it looks like the heavy wires to the board (pics 5 and 6) come right off the battery pack, so that's where to connect a suitable holder for other types of batteries....
