Itaste MVP V2 vs Itaste VV V3 (Which Would You Suggest?)

So I decided that I need to get a mod for the purpose (if nothing else) of checking coils when I begin rebuilding them. I'm not going to be doing anything too serious (probably will be building coils at about 2ohms), but I know I need something to check the ohms and check for shorts. I was told that mods with ohm readers would work.
It seems that the Itaste mods are the best price, and they also seem to get really good reviews... but I'm kinda stuck about which one to get.

On one side, the V3 is about the size of my Ego Twists, and I really like the idea of not carrying around a gigantic mod - and I also like the idea of not having to buy separate batteries and chargers (but that goes with both of them)... but I'm sure the battery-life is akin to that of my twists (of which, two last me about all day when I'm out and about - which makes me think that this battery will not last me all day)... but the design of the buttons is more intuitive.
On the other side, the MVP V2 has an enormous battery which means it'll no doubt last me all day, if not longer than a day (people were saying 1.5-2 days on it), but the buttons are supposed to be relatively uncomfortable, and you can only cycle up through the voltage and watts........ but the dern thing works as a battery to charge other things, and, well... that's just cool.

I can find both of them on Ebay new for ridiculously cheep, with about a $10 difference... the MVP obviously being a little more expensive (but it also comes with an iClear 30, which is kinda cool (though I'm not overly sure how good that tank is - but it's always nice to have extra tanks)).

I was wondering if anyone who uses these mods (preferably who has used both of them) could tell me what their personal opinions are about which is best, or which they would suggest to someone who's still a beginner. They both seem to be great products and the features are really nifty - though they mostly share pretty much all of those features.... and that makes it kinda difficult for me to make a definitive decision (I'm not even going to buy either till the end of this month or the beginning of next month most likely, so there's time for me to decide --- I just wanted to make the best informed decision I could).

Thanks for your advice and suggestions!

You're going to get zillions of suggestions for each. For me I chose the MVP and I LOVE love love it, wouldn't be without it. Great battery life, great vape experience, great flavor and "smoke". I'm using the iClear 30 and I really love it so far (also using Aspire Nautilus Mini and Kanger Protank 3 both also awesome). So yeah, I've not tried both but I AM a newbie and I wish I could get my money back for my EVODs and Vision Spinner II and had gone straight to the MVP.

Just my two cents and probably not worth much more than that.

Why don't you just get a decent ohmmeter if all you want is to check coils?

Between the 2 options, I'd suggest the MVP.

To get a decent ohm meter, I'd probably be spending about as much money (or more), and this way I get another battery for vaping. ^_^
And since I have no intention now or ever to do any sub-ohm coils, I figure it was probably a pretty safe bet.

I have both. 2 mvp's and 4 vv v3's. I vape with both. The ease of use for checking resistance is the same. If it's for out and about I'd pick the vv v3. If you want something mostly for at home I would say the mvp. My mvp's stay home and the vv v3's run around with me. Your call. I like them both and for my with all the functions they are waaaay ahead of ego's and that type of form factor. That's my :2c::2c::2c::vapor:

What RIMP said - I also have two MVPs and 4 VV v3s. I slightly prefer the VV v3s, but that is because the only difference between the two beyond the size/time between charges is that the button on the MVP is a little harder to push and I have hand problems. If your hands are normal then the size and time between charges is all that differs.

If you can do it, get both.

I have both and if they were to die at the same time, I would definately replace the MVP2.
It's studier and seems to hit harder. 2 full days on a charge, compared to 6 hours.
It's not that huge. I often feel like I could snap my v3 in my pocket if I were to sit down the wrong way,
where the MVP2 fits in my pocket, with plenty of room and my shorts don't sag a bit.

You're only going to pay $5-$15 more for it, depending.

P.S. With ebay, buyer beware. Check out Search - 101 Vape

I have been bringing my MVP around with me for over a year, The only time I have a problem really is when I drive sometimes it seems a bit large, But that is what cupholders are for. I have several different Mods and I just like the fact that I do not have to remember extra batteries. And I have had to charge my cell 3 times off of it now... Long stories each and every one

I have 3 of each. Love the MVP for the battery life (and my kayfuns are more well balanced on them) Love the VV3 because it's lightweight. Same volt/watt range (not intended for sub-ohmming)

+1 on 101vape.com. Also check out strictlyecig.com. Their color choices on the MVP are a little limited at this time (maybe they'll resupply???)

You won't go wrong with either.

As much as I enjoy buying stuff on ebay, for both the MVP and the VV3 I would buy from a reputable online site. First off, for these two products they can be far less expensive (I recently bought a vv3 for a little over $23 with free shipping). Secondly, if for some reason something happens with your battery, the online stores will take them back and replace them. Innokin has a replacement policy with authorized dealers.

There are lots of good deals on these products.

I have two of each. If I had to choose one over the other, I'd choose the MVP. I've been in the situation where my car has broken down out of town and I was stranded, and was glad that I had the battery life of the MVP, and ability of the MVP to charge my cell phone to make the emergency call for a tow truck. When I bought the MVP I never thought I'd use feature of charging other devices, but I have used it a few times, once when the car died and a few times in power outages/storms. It's also very handy for long trips, when battery life is essential. And if you want to measure the resistance of devices you're building, I definitely recommend an ohm meter.

I have both and would recommend the MVP. I find the MVP very pocketable and sturdy. I usually keep it in my shirt pocket. It actually stays in my pocket better than the vv V3 did. It is a much more solid device as well. Some folks call the vv V3 the MVP's little brother but I think little sister is more appropriate.

Like many have already said I have one of each, the MVP is obviously superior, but the VV V3 is awesome in its own right. The MVP lasts many times longer between chargers and just looks and feels better with some of the larger tanks w/beauty ring of course. But I would suggest looking not only into one (or both of these devices) but a ohm meter is absolutely worth considering.

this is exactly what I have and I agree. I keep the MVPs at home and one at the office. the others are for on the road.. love them both.

    Understandable.

To get an ohmmeter of equal quality as the one found in the MVP, it would be much cheaper. I don't disagree with getting a good quality one, just saying that the one found in the MVP isn't exactly a high quality meter. It's not bad, does what it needs to do, but isn't comparable to a meter that costs as much as the whole MVP package.

My vote still goes to the MVP out of the 2 choices.

I have all 3 items your looking at. The iTaste 3vv, MVP2, and an ohm meter. I use the ohm meter not only to read ohms but as a build base for my RBA's/RDA's. I use the MVP2 or iTaste 3vv to check the ohms as well and to take a vape, :). I use my MVP2 more and am likely to leave the house with it since it last longer. I really like the iTaste 3vv for it's size and that it's a pass-through so I can plug and vape. There really isn't a wrong answer here so I wish you the best in deciding on what to get.
