Just picked up a itaste mvp v2 as my on the road vape mod.

Love the mod so far but hate the iclear tanks. The vibration in the rig down the interstate is vibrating the tank loose and leaking.

Need some suggestions for a tank that maybe screws together Where it won't leak. Also would like a RDA for trying new flavors before I fill a tank. Maybe a nimbus?

I prefer 100% vg juice for vapor production

A good solid carto tank will probably be harder to jar open. Its not threaded so you must apply a single direction pressure to get the end caps off, so the vibration shouldnt do much. As far as a dripper goes, it may be convenient for you to try sone of the disposable attys for convenience, Im partial to the 306 kind.

I also got an Itaste MVP recently and know of several other who have. My suggestion: get rid of the Iclear tank. It's NOTORIOUS for leaking. Plus the wick system soaks up too much of the ejuice and you don't get as many puffs out of it. I just started running a Pro-Tank II on my Itaste with a plastic drip tip, and I don't have leakage problems anymore. The PT tank is glass, so you can also vape on those wonderful citurs flavors without fear of cracking the tank. Only thing to watch with the plastic tips is that they do break easily, but they're a lot cheaper to replace than plastic tips and don't leave the funky metal after taste. Hope this helps.

Which iClear tanks do you have? Are they the iClear 16s that come with the MVP 2 kit? Those are cheap "starter" tanks. Try an iClear 30S. That tank rocks on top of an MVP 2.

All the iClear tanks produce lots of vapor. Lots of vapor production means lots of juice used. The fact that some of the juice is temporarily stuck in the wicks does not make it go away until you vape it.

I just started running a Pro-Tank II on my Itaste
I tried running a Protank II on top of my MVP. It was a very tight draw because it couldn't get enough air and the tank would start misbehaving (gurgling and eventually flooding) in a matter of an hour or two. My Protanks have been relegated to other devices, where they can get enough air.

Protanks do work well on an MVP 2.... Been using them for months without leaking or gurgling or tight draws.
Gotta be some difference between your setup and mine then. You're talking about a full-size Protank II, right? The Protank II Mini is a different animal; it works fine; it just lacks appropriate capacity. :D

I haven't had any issues with my iClear 30, but my iClear 16's leak a lot. Did you get the 30 kit, or the 16 kit? It's a pity about the 16's. I like their flavor better, but can't stand the leaking. For the 30, the only time it leaked was when the coil got really gunned up. A cleaning and dry burn would stop it unless the coil could no longer be saved. Then, I switch it and it vapes fine.

Heh. Took 5 puffs off the iclear 30s that came with my mvp2, and into the trash it went. Leaky, and it had the tightest draw ever it was just plain unbearable. Still have 2 brand new coil heads sitting in my box chilling. Pt2 or evods still my choice for clearos. Unless you wanna consider a aspire BDC. The rebuildability is an issue though

Funny how different people seem to have different experiences with gear, particularly tanks. IMO, the iClear 30S is the best tank I've tried, and I've tried the UniTank (produced dry, harsh vapor), Protank II (flooding and gurgling), Protank II Mini (good, just too small), iClear 16 (good, but too small, a bit leaky, and gets too hot if used heavily).

Still have 2 brand new coil heads sitting in my box chilling.
Assuming they really are i30S coils, I'd be happy to trade you a pack of 5 Pro-Tank coils for them. :D

I have a buddy who drives a cement mixer and his tanks would rattle loose off his mvp while driving also. He solved the problem by getting a neoprene cell phone cover and fitting it around the mvp and cutting a hole for the tip and buttons. He didnt cut a hole for the variable adjustments, since hes a set it and forget it guy. I don't know if that would solve the tank rattling apart but it helped him.

2nd day using the MPV Energy 2.0, it's a nice mod. For the amount of power it packs, it's a pretty compact setup. Working range is narrower than most mods out there at 3.3-5.0v but with a Mini PT2, it's a great match when I'm out and about. 1 tank done and the battery is still 4.0v. Running 3.7v on my 1.7 ohm coil.

Oh, I had to edit the post to add this:

The MPV Energy is willing to fire one of my micro coil which is 1.1 ohm. That made me very happy because I will be able to run it at a lower voltage, maximising battery life when I have no access to a charging point. My Vamo V5 will not fire anything lower than 1.2 ohm. Mainly the reason why I like low resistance coils slightly around 1 ohm.
