I noticed something with my VTR, don't get me wrong I like the device but I want something better for sure. I built a set of coils for my UD AGA-T6 top that according to the VTR was a 1.5 Ω, but my multimeter read 2.9 Ω. Is this a known consistency issue, or am I experiencing an anomaly? I rebuilt today & read 1.9 Ω (1.8 Ω is the sweet spot according to steam engine) and the VTR fluctuates between 0.9 Ω & 1.0 Ω.

I've found that with the VTR + extension tube, resistance readings can get very finicky. The main culprit for me has been dirty threads, either on the male or female 510. But, come to think, that would make the VTR read high, not low.

Maybe a silly question, but have you remembered to subtract the resistance of the leads from the multimeter?
