Just got my first ecig, it's an itaste vv 3.0..I am having a few issues and need some recommendations.

My juice leaks into my mouth pretty frequently when I vape, is there anyway to prevent that?

What is the best cartomizer or tank or whatever I will need to make this smoother and to produce the most vape possible?

And finally, I noticed I can change the VV setting and also a variable wattage setting, which should I use? What is the optimum setting for both?

Thanks for the feedback!

1) Juice leaking into your mouth. What type of delivery system do you use? Clearomizer's, cartomizer's, tanks? I will guess you are using the iClear 16's that came with the iTaste if you got the full kit...maybe you are pulling too hard when you take a drag or could be the top cap being loose. You might want to take slow long drags. Although they are stated as leak proof, when you vape, make sure it is facing down at an angle, meaning don't vape like your smoking a cigarette as it will eventually leak into the mouthpiece. But there maybe other factors, need to know your delivery system.

2) That really depends on what you like and what works for you. Maybe try a Kanger T3 or EVOD which are both bottom coiled so the vape is somewhat cooler due to the coil being away from the mouthpiece. If you like warm vapes then the iClear 16's or any other top coiled delivery system where the coil is closer to the mouthpiece.

3) This also depends on your choice. Easily put, VV is where you can fine tune your voltage to whatever you want against your delivery system. VW is basically a "Set it and forget it" way in that no matter what delivery system ohm you put on, it will auto adjust your voltage to a recommended setting. Which was is the optimum, again you will have to try both and decide for yourself. Some like VV, some can't live without VW.

I hope this helps some, but if it don't other more seasoned veterans will chime in sooner or later.

Several things right off that I noticed and was able tho help fix on my top coils clearomizers..fluff out the wicks and make sure that rubber gasket over the top of them is secure and sits on it flat. If you can easily pull out the top coil it is not down far enough. Also check and see if the stem of the coil looks like it is in the center, if it isn't tighten it a bit more and it should even out a little. Don't fill too high..going to the top of the stem is too high and they will leak into the center. On my super excaliburs and my mini vivi novas I did these things and it worked.

I'm not sure what the delivery system is, I have an iclear 16 but I've been using the black one I got with it. It's not labeled its all matte black with I clear strip to see the remaining amount of liquid, I've been getting leakage on both, I do tend to pull it like an actual cigarette, I suppose methods would be nice to know as well. Also I like a cool drag with a good amount of vape.

Sorry, I should have been more clear, the delivery system is the thing you put on top of your device, in your case the iClear 16. Another factor of leaking could be that liquid went into the center hole or is somehow getting in the center hole. Is the white rubber stopper thing and the end of the mouthpiece, the end you screw into the iClear 16, touching? If there is a gap there it might be the cause of leaking. Also try and check the head if it is properly screwed in. It sometimes gets loose when you take off or screw the mouthpiece back in.

Since you like cooler vapes, you really should try the kanger t3 or the EVOD. Not only are they great, they give the iTaste a cool look.

I took it all apart, made sure everything was tight and the seals were lines up correctly, started using the long slow pull method, seems to be a TON better, plus you're getting more flavor! I ordered myself a few Kanger t3's plus the 510 adapter(which I think I'll need for that and most anything I use on here with exception to the iclear line). As for the VV or VW, I can't notice a ton of a difference...not sure if its cause I don't know what I'm looking for, or if I just have them set similarly and there isn't much of a difference...? I read a post about why people prefer either or, I don't get it...I'll just play with both and ask some buddies who vape and see what they think. Thanks so much for the help!

The iTaste VV 3.0 natively has 510 threading - the inner threading inside the tube - and eGo threading, the outer threading you are using with your iClear 16s.

For the VV/VW settings, its one or the other.

Im using Variable Voltage right now, I do plan to play with wattage soon.

Basically, lower ohms=lower volts higher ohms=higher volts.

3.7v is sortof the standard ego setting.. what you would get if you didnt have variable voltage. Probably not a bad starting point.

Go up from there, seeing how you like the taste and vapor production. When you get a burnt taste, you've gone too far, back it off a little.

You can sometimes get different/better/worse flavors from the same juice with different volts/watts.

I have an iClear 30 and was not real impressed with it, gave me a funny taste and the swivel top ball would condence liquid in it and give you a mouthful of juice time to time. I ditched it for a VIVI Nova and love the thing.

Also, don't be in a hurry to vape. Many people suck on a PVD like they are trying to suck a golf ball through a garden hose, take long steady draws off of your PVD and it will give you much more satisfying results.

As mentioned, the VV3 is both ego and 510 threaded, no adapter needed for evods or T3. But it's nice to have the adapter around anyway.

VV - you set the voltage of the device. Start low and work up until you like the vape for a given coil / juice combo. Change to a different juice or coil resistance, adjust the voltage to taste.

VW - you set the watts. Start low and work up until you like the vape. Change to a different resistance coil, the battery automatically adjusts the voltage to deliver the same watts, so the vape should stay the same. Hence the "set and forget" mantra, although if you've also changed the juice it may still need to be adjusted for the juice. I find different juices taste better at different power settings, light flavors I prefer with less power, and so on.

Watts is a measure of the power used in the system, and is the result of the voltage delivered to a resistance. VW devices just have a circuit that will automatically adjust the voltage to provide a set wattage to any resistance within range. VV devices deliver a fixed voltage, so if the resistance changes you have to change to setting to keep the same wattage. Both are just ways to control the power.

Did you get the solid colored tank? The clearomizer? I was looking at those and i decided on the other one, however I think I will order a few different ones and see which I like best.

I Have the Vivi Nova "Neptune" that has the windows in the sides. I also have a look alike that is basically the same thing.
