Ithaka control ring rusted?

I bought my Ithaka from cov and I've started to notice that the control ring is showing rust at the knruling parts. I've got a few other gg devices that have the control ring and they all get the same water baths with out any rusting. The ring I've got on the Ithaka is also a different style of knurling from the other gg stuff. If this a common problem with the Ithaka getting rusty or maybe a clone being sold as the legit deal? Any help would be great as I stopped using it in fear of the tank section no being ss

I have many of this CR's no rust on any!
No problem with water bath I do that always,but dry them right after.

I've treated this just like any of my other devices. I clean then dry but for some reason this one ring is starting to show what looks to be rust. I can clean it and remove the redness but it always comes back in the same spot

you remind me a penelope body 1,5 years ago when it got rusted sporty. Its just a piece of metal that didnt have the proper composition of nickel and chrome as I see it. It happens but its rare. Please send me a clear photo of this and I will send you a new one
