I'm sure that this has been everywhere on this forum, but I'd like to hear from newbies and vets, how has vaping improved your life, and do you still love it as much as you did when you first started? I'm expecting my new setup in the mail soon, and I'm so excited I feel like I could just barf everywhere! I'm curious to know if it will ever lose it's appeal.

I am new and I am really excited about getting my delivery of new flavors. I tried to vape once before and bought an ENVY from the local tobacco store. Yeah that didn't last so I figured it was just another BS gimmick, then I came here and researched and got a setup that I am very happy with. Now I am all about experimenting with flavors.

It hasn't been too long since I started but, I can tell you I can breath better, my lungs are clearing up, and I can REALLY tell that I once smoked analogs. I can definitely smell it!

I'm a new vaper, having smoked analogs for a very long time. I absolutely LOVE vaping. Love the taste, and the feeling that I get from vaping my menthol e juice (bought it from thevaporpro when I got my eGo Mega starter kit). Since I also love to research any new endeavor as a way to solidify my resolve to jump into whatever it may be, I've already spent a lot of time here on the forum. Also ordered an REO Mini today. I'm thinking it may be icing on the cake.

The same to me.

I've only been vaping for a couple of months. Besides being healthier, I'm enjoying the fact that I no longer stink. Also, I have this potato recipe that I make, that I have always loved. Tonight was the first time I've made it since I've been smoke-free.... Holy Moly, this tastes so much better. Everything tastes more now. More spicy, more sweet, etc.

I don't plan on quitting the vape any time soon. Likely, never... thank goodness for 0 nic juices :D

I'm a fairly new vaper. I vaped for 3 months and had approximately 6 analogs within that period of time. It eventually got to the point where I naturally weaned myself off of vaping completely. I didn't see it as a hobby, just a way to quit smoking and it worked. Unfortunately, I went away for a weekend and had no way of charging my PV and ended up buying a pack of analogs to tide me over. It was my bachelorette party and there was drinking involved, so I just couldn't resist. I ended up smoking again for the following 4 months or so until a little over 2 weeks ago, I decided to get back to vaping and quit for good.

I upgraded and it's been a challenge figuring out what I want with the many options there are. But so far so good. I've had one analog within the last 2 and a half weeks and I feel great. I love that I don't smell, I feel better, I can breathe better etc.

This time around, I don't think I'll necessarily continue vaping for a prolonged amount of time. After about 3-6 months I'll probably stop on my own just like last time. The difference is that now I have a wall charger (instead of just USB) and I'll make sure to keep a small stock of supplies just in case I feel the need. I don't want to get stuck feeling like I need to grab a pack of analogs again.

I was sort of the same way, I started vaping and I loved it, but my life sort of became a snowball of bad things for a while and I went back to analogs because it was available. When I was ready to start vaping again I reordered my prefilled carts and got down to business, but for some reason only certain carts would work with certain batts, even though they were all from the same company and "universally interchangeable", so back to analogs I went. Here's hoping third times a charm.

Good for you. As long as you keep trying, you're doing the right thing. Good luck!

I'm really new, about 3 weeks in, but the changes have all been wonderful! I did experience severe dry mouth one day/night, but it was resolved quickly. Other than that, there have been no ill effects from vaping, but there have been plenty of good effects. I've stopped hacking like some old crone coughing up a lung all day long, I've stopped having sinus problems, I've stopped having trouble sleeping and waking up having a hard time breathing in the middle of the night, I can walk without getting short of breath... so, it's all good here! I love vaping. I'm still learning, I still burn the occasional carto, I am still testing out different flavors looking for that "all day vape" but I've enjoyed all of the flavors (with one exception). I bought three kits before landing on my favorite (for the time being anyway lol). It's a learning experience to be sure.

I've been vaping for... let me check my sig... Oh My God, one MONTH! And I haven't even celebrated! :) Evidently, the best thing about it is that I have also been off burned tobacco for the same amount of time. I smoked my last cigarette on the balcony and saw the mailman pulling in. Then I went down and picked my package. That was my last cigarette indeed.

My last pack, two thirds full, is in the exact same place I left it then, on a table, next to some new Listerine puff thing package. I used to use a lot of those so I didn't smell at work. The package is also unopened. That is the other best thing about it - there is no need to try and hide any smell. Because there is none. I still brush my teeth several times a day, but I guess that's healthy enough and, just like vaping, it is just another addiction I can live with. (And just like vaping, it contains PG :) )

I never had shortness of breath when I was smoking. I had occasional morning cough. That got worse, briefly, just like every other times I quit analogs before. It's normal. It means your bronchial epithelium comes back to life. But now I can not breathe much better. I love swimming, and I was beginning to notice it being more difficult to hold my breath underwater and even when only breathing every three strokes. Now I can, again, just like in childhood, swim a full length underwater :)

I quit smoking because my overall health was going down, and that included high blood pressure. My pressures are okay now, but that's confounding because I also started a low dose of medication for that. But my heart rate certainly improved (it was too high at rest, which in itself is a very strong indication of future risk of problems). This is also confounded by the fact that I exercise now, but I can exercise better because I don't smoke. So, there.

In the first few weeks I vaped like I smoked. I was very dependent on all sorts of triggers. I would go out to vape after a movie or a meal. I would actually go out, because I felt jittery and in need of going out. So I just did it. Now all that is gone. Gone is also the need to vape at regular intervals. I actually vape very little or not at all during the day. Sometimes I vape in the morning, but not always, and I certainly do not feel that crushing urge right after I open my eyes, like with cigarettes.

I vape a lot in the car, and I mainly vape at night while writing, watching TV or doing whatever. Visiting ECF is the only strong trigger to vape like crazy :) I find that when I vape, I like to keep vaping on and on. That's why now I'm going to try out the carto-tank setup, and at some point I'll get a Reo (I guess I'll wait for the VV Woodvil to kill two birds with one stone?) I also find that I never really get a craving to vape. I don't know if that means I am no longer as addicted to nicotine as I was. I'd like to think so, but I am not eager to try quitting vaping right now.

Interestingly, I find that I am overall calmer and more patient. I used to plan my workday around smoking escapes. And I would get antsy when stuff would come in the way of my plans. Yet, I used to think cigarettes were allowing me to be calm and patient, and, based on cold turkey precedents, I used to think quitting them would make me insufferable. However, at work or play, even when I'm really not vaping at all, I now am indeed calmer on the average.

All in all, I think I am significantly better off.
