I am another long time smoker with one amazing, astounding month of no cigs under my belt.(Isn't it terrific) So congrats to all of us. There are times when I just want one even if I just vaped but so far I have resisted. Going on line and playing for much too long with the forum and contemplating new toys/juices etc seems to help (I am still waiting to get even on $ spent) I even got on the stupid stationary bike today without getting out of breath. so all is good .

Congrats on the month. I believe that part of the e-cig effectiveness is the addiction to finding the perfect vape. It keeps you interested in it constantly, and almost makes you forget about smoking. Hope to see future posts of you and your wife's success.

thanks!
Fiddling with the e-cig was a huge help in the beginning.Being a bit hard headed and enjoying troubleshooting things made the pv an almost natural fit for me:p
i don't see going back to cigarettes as an option at all at this point.such a nasty, nasty filthy habit.

I smoked as much as you did ... even getting up in the middle of the night to smoke! It's close to three months now without a cigarette and I don't miss them a bit. And I'm actually a bit proud of myself as you should be.

I share your liking of FSUSA ... have you tried the Wyatt Earp yet? Its become my "all day" favorite.

It's always good to hear to hear success stories from people that were just as addicted as i was.I know the 3 am "cigarette wakeup" very well - it was the worst.Going from an almost crippling addiction to not having the desire for a cigarette in less than a month (my desire for a cigarette was gone after about my third day smoke free, actually) is just mindblowing.
Another thing that has really helped has been the hopeful feeling that returns and gets stronger the longer you go without a cigarette. As i said in my original post,i was completely resigned to my fate of lung cancer, emphysema and the myriad of other smoking related illnesses that were sure to come from my lifelong addiction. At this point, i know i will still be more likely to get certain things but every day i go without smoking lowers my chances of leaving my loved ones early.

The wyatt earp is amazing isn't it?? I usually mix it with just a bit of menthol ultra and almost always have it loaded in one of my pv's. I've had it in the ego and their ry4 in my battery box for the last couple of days now and neither of them seem to get old.

hear,hear, congratulations all around!!!!

i've given up on breaking even for the forseeable future :) if i have to spend everything i have to keep off cigarettes then so be it.
not getting winded just thinking about anything aerobic is great isn't it? i actually started running last week and can already see a marked improvement in my lung function and hope that it continues.I guess considering that a month ago i would get lightheaded if i thought about jogging long enough anything we can do to get healthy is an improvement, right?

First week is weining chemicals, and you'll feel off. First month is clearing tar. Once the soar throat has come and gone, and it lasts a week-ish, your over the hump. Don't be scared to keep some high nic around (36 for a 24 user), in case of bad day, such is life.
I'm 10 months in now, and much more relaxed and easy going than I ever remember. I vape easy, all day, no rushing. Seems life followed.
Congrats to all for taking that first step, then taking another. You have made good choices, so pat yourself on the back, and make yourself at home here. Soon enough, you'll be the next graduating class of pv experts.
Welcome aboard new ppl, and bring a friend or 10. :D

Congrats to everyone here! I'm in the same boat and I have now been 15 days off cigs after 18 years of smoking nonstop. The further away I get, the less and less I feel those minor "twingy" moments when I wish I had a real one. I'm hoping that I can keep up the momentum as you all have been and look forward to also saying "one month later, ten months later and no cigarettes....".

If it wasn't for this forum, I'm not sure that I would have made my way around to the best suppliers, best juices and greatest support. Its been nice to share the joy of switching to vaping with people who appreciate what a big step that is.

Congrats to all of you on the great job of quitting. I sometimes cannot believe I have been cig free for over 7 months. It is the most amazing thing to me after smoking for over 30 years and not being able to quit no matter how hard I tried.

To the poster struggling with cravings, try a higher nic or use a lower one and vape non stop until the urge passes. It will pass and the cravings get fewer and fewer as you go along. I rarely have a craving or a thought of smoking now, woo hoo.

Congrats to you and your 2 week mile stone. I myself started using the e-cig 12 days ago. I have been analog free for 5 days now. At first the withdrawals did me in and I had an analog. Then it happened again and I had another. But the last time I tried an analog (5 days ago), it was really strange. I actually HATED it, it was disgusting. I got through half of it and put it out. I have now been vaping exclusively and I have had NO cravings for analogs. I have felt strange some days, but I chalk that up to my body going through withdrawal of the other 4k+ chemicals. Who knows what I was really addicted to along with the nicotine.

But, It's official now, this is success for me and I will keep counting the days of no more analogs. Man it's a great feeling.
