It's been a bad 24 hours...

So one of my ego batteries isn't charging properly on one of my usb chargers. One of my USB chargers doesn't fit the wall plug properly. MY replacement atty's for my iClear haven't arrived and the one in it is dead (really tight draw, very little vapor, all vapor tastes like cooked butter). I've got a really dry throat to the point where either side of my uvula is really painful and drinking & sucking lozenges isn't relieving it. I'm slightly worried that the dry throat is a reaction to PG, despite me liking the PG when I firs vaped (I originally got 10ml each of 100%PG, 100%VG, 50/50 and 100%VG with flavour. Vaped a bit of each, preferred the PG and was fine with it. Vaped my way through that 40 ml and when nearly done ordered 500ml of PG. If it's the PG messing with my throat, that's a waste... )

God I want an analogue, why do they only sell them in 10's, I don't want 10, I'd like one or two!.

Check coils. My throat gets chalky when they are gunked up. I have a specific juice that I know immediately has got the point when it's time to clean the coil.

All my stuff is high pg. Lowest pg I go is 50/50. VG dries me out.

Maybe the throat issue's got something to do with your PG/VG Content? The liquids i use are an 80/20 mix of PG/VG, I've used a couple of VG Liquids but they don't quite give the hit i'm after, maybe try a ratio mix see if that's any better.

I see, this is the first coil I've had get to the end of its life, with it being an iClear 30B, I can't even get to the coils to have a look at them but my replacements should arrive soon. I'm switching to my CE5's until the spare heads arrive.

I absolutely swear by the iClear30's, used to have the original, loved it so much i invested in the 30s purely for the drip tip support That metal mouthpiece is alright but when it's 9am and you're stumbling through a shopping center like me it's all too easy to crack yourself in the tooth with it... at the very least it woke me up

My only issue with the mouth piece is when I've left it in the car late at night and it's freezing.

Yup that too xD I had to learn the hard way not to use it in bed too since it's a touch wider i'd always get a lovely big drip of vapour build up drip onto the tongue, Swapped mine for a simple acrylic one, absolutely love it again, can bite it all i want without giving myself an electric shock

SPACKlick - just to add - if you discover it is the PG irritating your throat - you can just buy a small amount of 100% VG and mix them maybe even 80pg/20vg just to soften the harshness and still use the PG you bought. You can get it from the pharmacist usually for only a few bucks - USP Anhydrous glycerin

I hope that switching to the CE5s helps for now and that your new coils arrive soon!

thats the exact reaction when i vape 1ml of 50/50 in a day. or .2ml if i vape an 80/20. im at 100vg now. im done screwing with pg. lol i made a 50/50 up for a friend vaped a bit to make sure it tasted right. boom hour later. uvula sitting in my throat.

When do you expect your order to arrive? Have you tried cleaning it? Try what creepy lady said and lower the pg a bit.

Well Third vape of the day off the CE5 and three strepsils and my throat just about feels human.
I'm having a quick look into VG supplies locally just in case. I think I'm going to make a batch of very mango-y juice as a treat tonight. My iClear heads were in the post on Friday but I live in 2 addresses and most of my vape gear goes to my tues-thurs address. Hopefully they're there when I get home and I can sit in a mango iClear haze tonight with fresh heads and DIY juice.

Ok, just got home. My coils have arrived, but despite asking for the cheapest post option they needed signing for so I won't get them until the post offic opens tomorrow

I'm cleaning my 30b now to see if I can get any life out of it tonight because the CE5 just wasn't cutting it and I caved and bought 10 analogs. I'm right in thinking I just soak the coil in water for an hour or so and then connect it to a battery and run it for a bit to dry it out? Do I even need to dry burn or can I just add e-juice?

Have you tried boiling the coil? Distilled water is better but any will do the trick.

Soaked it in warm water and the wicks fell out...I'll stick to the CE5's with my first DIY mango till I pick up the fresh coils in 9 hours.

Coils have arrived. Only plain juice (no idea the pg/vg ratio because it's the end of a few bottles) but my god it feels better. Learned my lesson, with the 30b as my all day vape, I'll make sure I have a couple of spare coils at all times, they last me a little over 3 weeks.
