Hello all... I started vaping about 2 weeks ago. I started on 18 mg (Rocky Top Vapor) RTV4. It has made my mouth and throat very very dry, and feels like I have a lump in my throat that will not go away. I believe the mix of VG vs PG was 50/50. I'm not sure though.

Today, I went to a new vape shop and got 6 mg 80 vg /20 pg.. Now I haven't vaped it much, so there hasn't been a change. But is the dry mouth /throat and a feeling of a lump in my throat normal with vaping? Because to be quite honest, it's scaring me thinking something is wrong knowing there is a lump there, or what feels like one.. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Yeah but the lump in throat feeling, is this normal? Or something I should be worried about? I don't recall having this feeling when I smoked analogs.

Did you quit smoking as well? Its a common feeling if you quit smoking. The cillica on your lung cells are coming back to life, and pushing the chemicals you smoked back out of your lungs. Some people feel like they're coming down with something when they quit smoking.

Yeah I haven't smoked at all within 2 weeks.. But I have noticed some major changes. I'm coughing more, etc. This is all new to me,

Sounds like symptoms of quitting smoking for sure. Keep up your water intake you should start feeling better soon! Congrats on two weeks!

A lot of folks are PG sensitive and go 100% VG to prevent the frog in the throat. I cut down to a 30pg/70vg mix and the lump in my throat is going away, slowly. And yes, drink more water than you did before for the dry throat. I would go to 100% VG but I like some throat hit. Bottom line is not to worry; it's just a little phlegm build up.

Welcome to the forums, Jessica!!
It looks like classy beat me to it... a few things that I did to help ease my symptoms:
The frog in the throat for me was mostly mucus that my body was trying to get rid of now that I wasn't smoking anymore... I started back on my allergy meds, and that helped a lot...
for the dry mouth, drink plenty of water, but I also found Biotene gum (for dry mouth) helped alot as well...
Either way, good luck and stick with it!! You can do this!!

I find that after a night out and socializing (IE used stinky sticks) the next week I cough and hack up some pretty nasty lung butter. If I could get the GF to use her vape it would make going out a lot easier.

I keep a glass of water with me at all times. Don't be afraid to cough that lung butter up and get rid of it, the feeling goes away (it did for me).

Welcome to the forum.

Not sure if it's okay to suggest here, but I found that over-the-counter Mucinex worked wonders to help me get rid of the mucus as well...
