As I sit here humming the tune to that Barenaked Ladies song, I realize, I haven't had an analog since last Wednesday night (1/6/10) before bed. And I only had the equivalent of 1.5 smokes that day, in like .25 increments because any more than that had me feeling like I was going to hurl.

Thursday January 7th, 2010 was my first completely smoke free day in 17 years where I didn't want to kill anyone, gorge myself on junk food to satisfy the oral fixation, or scratch my own eyes out to take my mind of wanting an analog.

I just didn't want it. I just didn't need it.

There have been a couple of instances where I had to tell myself out loud "I'm not a smoker anymore" to convince myself that I did NOT need to go smoke one of those week old analogs that are sitting on the counter.

I win, analogs. I win. :D

I will break even in 2 days, and as of this posting, I have avoided well over 300 analogs. Yay me. Yay V4L for your awesome product that helped me get my life back.

discoqueen, that's a GREAT testimonial! And yeah, last time I quit 3.5 years ago was with patches; I was so short-tempered one day that I called my mom and asked her to PLEASE take my 2 dogs for a few hours because I was afraid I might hurt them in a fit of detox-induced rage. One was just a year old, and the other about 6 months, and they were both holy terrors (I used to call them Chaos and Mayhem). Mom was happy to help, I got 3 hours of quiet time and calmed down, and went back for my babies, and all was well :)

I have none of that this time! Got through the initial withdrawal stuff (aches, coughing, etc) and now it's pretty smooth sailing. No short temper, no bizarro patch dreams, no edginess. 2010 is gonna be a good year :)
