Origin is a beauty and it vapes good but my test results were less than good:
FT SS Origin vs FT Brass Nemesis:
2 second voltage drop under 0.6 ohm load using Samsung INR-18650-20R.
Brass Nemesis = 0.193 volt drop.
Origin = 0.427 volt drop.
I'd still buy it again though.

Pretty good specs. Not sure my wife would be cool with another brass mod. she felt I should have gotten SS, or mixed instead
I'd bet mixed would have near same voltage drop as brass. I suspect most of the slight voltage drop is coming from the SS switch post to brass housing contact.
My brass chemy is a work horse but I can't fall in love w/ brass look. I'd gladly give up the additional 0.052 volt drop for the SS look. Subjective of course.

Blasted my brass. Little better. The "patina" was just looking like dirt so I cleaned it. Now back to square 2. Thinking about buffing it back to square 1.
I ground and polished some SS M5-0.8 firing pins. I like them better than "silver" plated because the don't grab batt terminals and they stay clean. I did the lock pin delete so my firing pin rotates against batt. The silver plated would sometimes loosen top firing pin during batt swap or tube adjust. The SS firing pins do not loosen no matter what.
That's really nice. I don't mind the stock pin so much but I would like something adjustable like that
Do you know if the adjustable pins from the hcigar chi you will work with the hcigar caravela?
Thanks. Now have lock ring gap between 1mm to 1.5mm. 0.5mm switch throw. I didn't like that huge, almost 3mm lol, gap. Plus lock ring adjust is fast and easy now.
chi you reportedly same as aqua which is smaller pin thread than vella.
nemy is m5-0.8 which is bigger than vella.

Finally got the $20 Fasttech Aqua clone, better than the Hcigar in my opinion and steel in all the important areas.

It does have larger air holes, the bell is more faithful to the original than the Hcigar too.
