First, I must say the copper with the purple LED is just cool as all heck. The black tip filter makes it look fro a distance like a mini-cigar or clove cigarette. The purple LED will make people realize it's neither, I hope.

I took out my first battery, which was charged when I got it, took out the first atomizer, took some tissue and blew out the atomizer as suggested, then took a blank cartridge. I did not have any paper clips, so I just very slowly dripped into the cartridge tip, I got 16 drops of my Vanilla from MyFreedomSmokes before I didn't see any airbubbles coming up anymore, and when it started to look a bit wet on the top. Blotted the edge of the cartridge, and then dripped 2 drops directly on the wick of the atomizer.

The first puff I coughed my lungs up. Now, I do this on analogs normally. So that is not necessarily a bad thing. I have asthma and I was stupid enough to start smoking at age 22. New things generally make me cough horribly until I'm used to them. It could have also been because I ignored warnings and tried to inhale directly. Now I pull some into my mouth, and then inhale. Much less coughing. I notice I don't see a lot of vapor on exhale, but I don't see a lot of smoke on exhale with analogs.

The vanilla tastes very good to me, for a first vape! Not perfumy or chemically, a touch spicy, not overpowering at all to my currently deadened sense of taste/smell from analogs. And if I cough after, it tastes good instead of nasty!

We'll see how it goes. I need to get to bed so I can wake up early enough to shower and get ready for scraping ice off my car before I go to work...

So, update after (almost) 24 hours...

Analogs smoked = 0

Still really liking this vanilla taste. Much better than an ashtray!

We had a major winter storm yesterday, so our boss was in the building when I got there. I showed her my 510, calling it an "electronic nicotine inhaler", just showing it off as a way for me to quit smoking. She asked if it was prescription, and I said no. When she asked that, I was pretty sure I knew she was not going to be cool with use of it at my desk. She followed up with "Yeah, it'd probably need to be used outside since we don't allow people to dip indoors either and we have to be fair...." I mentioned that I had looked at the prescription nicotine inhaler but that it cost five times as much as my little 510 did. She said "Well, I hope it works for you!"

If they allowed Snus or dip, I would probably feel that they should allow vaping. But this isn't a cubicle environment... 'tis a helpdesk, and so it's not like I could hide it very easily. Maybe if no one in the office knew and I got a penstyle, but otherwise better to just step outside. Although I did use it in the bathroom tonight some, and I plan to use it in the bathroom when I'm the only girl on the shift. And if I ever have to work on the desk by myself again, I'll use it there with the door closed. (A lot of our dippers seem to take long 'bio breaks' and I wouldn't be surprised if they're dipping in the bathroom either.)

The PCC has worked perfectly. I've used two cartridges worth of the Vanilla liquid in the last 24 hours. I did notice at work that the 18mg liquid I was using seemed to not be effective for as *long* as a cigarette, so I may need to up to 24mg liquid at work. Since the PCC holds 2 spare cartridges plus the atomizer with cartridge attached, I think it will be more than sufficient to hold a day's worth of nicotine enjoyment for me. I've had no cravings for an analog, just for my 510.

We'll see how it goes. :)
